The bigger problem is Republicans are not fans of advanced education. The governor of Alaska is cutting 41% of University of Alaska's money - $130 million (which is nothing, scraps, in Trump farmer money). Teachers will be released, classes cut and students will leave. The trickle down effect will be that students will leave Alaska, get their education somewhere else and be unlikely to return. Thus, Alaska'a educated workforce will decrease year after year as those that remain age. This is what the Republican party represents and it's why urban areas are more educated and attract more jobs. Companies look for an educated workforce to draw from and Alaska will not be one of those, not unlike what happens in rural areas.
You prove my point !!!
"Its outside their purview !!!"

Maybe consider running a lemonade stand and get some real world experience !!!

Thanks !!!

The funny part is we really get to see the depths of these posters hatred. Since it's hatred towards white middle America it's allowed here. You can go back through posts and see them advocating death for everyone in farmland, even the liberals that happen to live there.

Yes they really do say those things. The other day it was poor people in Louisiana getting cancer from chemical plants.

Interesting premise. If the rural areas won’t sell their food to the cities, who will they sell it to, and how will they get it there?

The major ports are pretty urban, giving cities access to goods and services from around the world, and the cities have the money.

They won't. They'll grow enough for their own areas and cities will die as people flee back to the country so they can buy farmland.

Most will die because they can't hack it.

Yeah,
they would be abandoning the city pretty fast trying to get back on their farms and dairies at those prices !!!

You forget that rural America aren’t the only ones selling food. Cities can buy food from Canada, Mexico, etc. And the more the cities are willing to buy, the more other areas will produce.

And rural areas only selling food to themselves won’t provide enough for them to purchase much else. Think about all the things in your life that come from cities and overseas.

I don't forget. Remember we're in fantasy liberal land right now and the posters pushing this thread want farmers to die. Even the farmers who are Democrats.

I don’t want anyone to die. I just think that people are forgetting that in this world, money means options, and the cities are where the money is.
