Only thing certain is that some people in the store were openly or concealed carrying at the time this shooting began. They likely ran for their lives with everyone else.

Absolutely true, only the gun whacks actually believe that malarkey about open carry reducing the frequency of these events, or enabling bystanders to "take out" the assailant. I heard several interviews with people that were armed. Like you say, they were focused on getting the hell out of there.
I was wondering the same thing, California got mocked heavily in that now deleted thread. I wonder if those same loudmouths will post here, I’m thinking not. I wonder why?
Today there are numerous new records being set in this country.
We now have multiple people who have been at the scene of MORE THAN ONE mass shooting....like some Gilroy folks were in Vegas for that one too!
And some vets came back from wars only to be shot HERE.
You'd think people would be up in arms.....at least civilized people would be.
But we will all move on. Eventually people will not go shopping or attend sports games or concerts or the like. They will order online and watch stuff on TV.
This isn't going to turn out well. It already isn't. But it's what a select minority (and one political party in general) wants....so it's not going to change without a major revolution.
I attended a rock concert at a downtown venue a week ago and made a mental note of where the exits were in case of a terrorist attack while waiting for the group to perform. That scenario had never entered my mind before last week.
What scary times we live in....
Heck, I've been like for decades, of where are the nearest exits, primary and secondary are on aircraft.
Has Trump released a statement yet? Or is he still on the golf course?
Really, was this the point of the post , bashing the President? This is an awful tragedy and the whole area is in melee. Many dead, nobody had a time to react.

They just showed a video of a guy under a table with lots of shots fired it was like BANG! BANG! BANG! I think most people hiding in there wondered if the gun shots would reach them...
There was security all over Gilroy. Bet there's a no gun policy at WalMart. Most stores in Houston have a no firearms sign at the entrance. Won't stop the ones in a handbag.
