So? I don't picture you bringing it up if he was a registered Republican.

No doubt about it that Republicans want to scapegoat Democrats for causing mass shootings when the shooter is a registered Democrat. Same goes for Democrats.

But he was not a registered Republican. He was a registered Democrat.

Patrick Crusius voted with the Democrats the last time he voted in a primary, which given his age (21 - 7/27/98), had to be 2018, because he would have been too young to vote in the primary in Texas in 2016.

You provide a link proving that is wrong, if you can. You cannot do it, because what I have said here is correct.
No, it's not up to me to prove you wrong. You need to prove what you are posting.

No..he wasn't. You affiliate every year when you vote. And you can change affiliation each year.

I lived and voted in Texas for over 20 years so stop with the BS.

I have lived and voted in Texas for nearly 40 years, so I will not be deferring to you.

So there's always been an implicit promise that the good guys would protect the unarmed. But now we are finding out that the advocates of open carry everywhere are saying "oh no..we only do this to protect our own family". Well, if that's the case then I see no benefit in allowing them to carry their guns everywhere they want.
In the El Paso and several other active shooter incidents, there were people trained and licensed with a concealed weapon. None of them discharged a weapon.

I don't believe in the implicit promise that the good guys would protect the unarmed. I only believe that the majority of the concealed weapon armed individuals would act to protect themselves (and family) which is apparent in the case of El Paso.

The fact that would one use it to protect their own family and themselves pretty much means that there is a personal benefit to being a licensed concealed weapon owner... your sentence counters itself... there is a benefit to carrying a weapon.. personal protection.
