The Doral resort is also a security concern. A gunman opened fire in the lobby of the Doran in 2018.

Quote:
An armed man ranting against President Trump opened fire on police officers early Friday at the Trump National Doral Miami Golf Club in South Florida before he was wounded and apprehended, the authorities said.

What scares me most is not Trumps irrational statements but the 40% that continue make excuses and support him with claims that the media is picking on him.
95% of MSM coverage is anti-Trump, but we’re paranoid that they’re picking on him? 😂

My thoughts exactly.

Why is he peddling his bedbug bungalows to this group?

U.S. is the host country next year. Presumably, the host country comes up with the location, not the G7.

Sounds like a great location in terms of access, convenience and security

Yes, if you watched the long press conference afterward, he explained why he chose that location after his staff had checked out other venues in other states. Snowflakes melt down over the silliest things.

I've been to Trump's Doral resort and it's as good place as any to have a big meeting with world leaders. Also, Miami is kind of a unique place in that the left keeps reminding us the place will be the first casualty of climate change. So all Democrats in this thread should be jumping in excitement for this opportunity!

I think you forgot to add this considering the post above about the gunman opening fire there:

Since 1976 the G7 has met annually in either May, June, July, or August, with June or July being the most scheduled months. South Florida is HOT in the summer. South Florida humidity is oppressive in the summer. South Florida is a target for hurricanes in the summer. I live in South Florida and I tell my friends to stay away until December. I doubt the Doral remains even half full in the summer, which is why Trump is pimping it for the next G7 meeting.

F.Y.I. - A room for next week at Trump's Doral starts at $151/night. A room for July or August 2020 starts at $599/night.

As for access, convenience, and security - you're not from around here, are you?
