Yes, you are correct about racism existing in the US historically. The issue is that Trump has allowed it to flourish and let the white supremacists come out from the shadows. He has given them support and they are now killing with the thought that they are doing their gods work. Sick stuff.
I don’t know why domestic terrorism is such a problem among disaffected young white males today. It’s so terrible.
We're bipedal territorial aggressive apes. Mother Nature made it so that for a few years at least, a certain proportion of young males are over-aggressive and have no talent for risk assessment. This is very useful if the tribe needs a pool of strong males willing to take on saber-toothed tigers with a pointy stick.

These people have a LOT of silent supporters. Others may draw the line at the violence and not condone such and most would not join ranks with them. However, keep in mind that a good percentage of white males feel they are the most discriminated against in America and they feel that the white male is under attack from all sides. Many feel that they are loosing the country that they knew and its "White Western Civilization" in favor of a multi-cultural society where they are seen as the root of all that is wrong.
They will only increase in number and boldness in the coming years because America will continue to become more diverse.
Read the news reports instead of twitter and get the real story. Why are you sensationalizing these idiots as master criminals. This was almost 3 weeks ago and very different from being reported here. They were being charged with trespassing when they made threats, now charged with one count each of making false threats of terrorism. Apparently one of them told police that he had a pellet gun in the car - not "loaded rifles and pistols".
