I recently quit smoking cigarettes by switching to vaping.

I started out with a high nicotine blend to assure I won't want to light a cig, and it has worked beyond my belief! I plan to gradually lessen the nicotine ratio to hopefully get to a point of why bother anymore.

There has been media hype lately demonizing vaping, right at the same time I chose to switch, so I'd appreciate anyone's opinion on the matter.

Thanks!

I think people dying from vaping is what demonized the vaping.

Your lungs -- do it in your house, your car, away from people...who cares.

(I smoked for years -- I get it -- but vaping is as bad as cigarettes...the smell is as disgusting. It doesn't stay on YOU as long but it is in the air).

It’s a relatively new habit. Medical data, as experts testified, won’t know for years. Some early concerns have tied lung issues with vaping.

Ha, I saw your post where you said vaping is gross, kinda inspired this thread.

It's way better than spewing all that resonating smoke from burning tobacco.

It's a real viable vehicle to get people like me off cigarettes, and I think that's a good thing.

I don't ignore the flip side of the availability of vaping products for young people, but it has got to be way better than Marlboros!

Why don’t you just get a baby pacifier and quit cold turkey

Try Chantix.

To be fair, Vaping wasn't a thing when I was quitting smoking so I don't really know. It's soon going to be demonized worse than cigarettes.

Nicotine is a terrible addictive substance.

I do vape with weed though. Much better and less addictive substance.

Great point! The long term data is not in yet!

That's why I want to use this option to ween myself from being a nicotine junkie, lol.

The ingredient Propolyne Glycol gives me pause, but damn cigs are loaded with proven carcinogens.

I'm striving to quite altogether, and this road seems viable, and is working for me.

I never smoked, but I don't see a problem with it. If it can help you gradually get off of nicotine, that's a good thing.
