Tactical, home defense shotguns are often a bit different than pappy's double barrel .

That's why I love constitutional carry like we have in Kansas and a bunch of other States. I personally have a CCW because it is recognized in even more States, although many States are coming around by allowing people from constitutional carry states to carry. Even Oklahoma, which isn't a constitutional carry State allows me to carry either open or concealed because I am from a State that has constitutional carry.

There are a few States that are making owning and carrying a firearm more difficult but they are the minority. Most States are getting better at either concealed carry or reciprocity with states that have CCW and even more are jumping onto the constitutional carry bandwagon.

Maybe but you have to remember, when you are being sued, the opposing counsel is going to try to show you by their standards.
