Bolton was the mouth piece for what ol' bone spurs Trump was really feeling/thinking but was afraid to say out loud. This way he could blame Bolten for anything negatively that would offend his right wing followers.
Is this how it works now? If you have a falling out with Trump or do not agree with him 100% you are a leftist? I'm old enough (but not super old) to remember 16 years ago when guys like Bolton wanted us in wars constantly and were in power. The majority of the people who put us in those wars were not "left"

Yes, that is how FOX, and other RW media works. When Trump says the word, they will put out a statement like that, and in less then 10 hours all loyalists will be repeating the same line.
Bolton was in the extreme right wing of the Republican party, and left because he did not respect Trumps leadership anymore.
I think Michael Bolton is a leftist but Trump fired John Bolton. And John Bolton is certainly not a leftist. And there were plenty of Democrats and Republicans who voted for the Iraq war. A lot of that had to do with Bolton's assertions of WMD's which he was in charge of dealing with at the time.
The other thing Tucker got wrong is, the GOP does believe in a government solution to foreign issues as the DEM's believe the government is the solution for domestic issues. With that John Bolton fits the GOP moniker.

Doves and hawks come in all colors. Bolton is a Republican appointed to a variety of posts by 4 Republican POTUS, including Trump.
