As Sen. Chuck Grassley noted in a Twitter thread, the Judiciary Committee in the Senate offered many times to meet with Ms. Ramirez to hear her story, all of which she declined, while also refusing to provide any documentary or other corroborating evidence to the committee about her claims. Nevertheless, the Committee talked to some of Ramirez’s and Kavanaugh’s Yale classmates in an attempt to corroborate her story, and found “no verifiable evidence to support the claims.”

As for Ramirez, she tells Pogrebin and Kelly that she has achieved a new “awakening,” and has had to drop friends from college who don’t agree with her new approach to her past. “If I felt like a person in my life wasn’t going to embrace my journey or would somehow question it,” she said, “I just let them go.” Note to Debra Ramirez: If you insist on engaging in character assassination while offering no compelling evidence for your claims, people can and should question it. The same can be said for the New York Times surrendering its basic journalistic integrity.
Someone must have paid her for this "new awakening".
It's turning into a recurring theme for Democrats lately.
1. Make huge accusation against somebody they absolutely hate.
2. It becomes immediately apparent that they have absolutely no evidence whatsoever and that the people making the accusations are hyper-political with obvious agendas.
3. The Democrats harangue and scream about it for a few months or years anyways, demanding that "somebody has to do something." Who cares that there's no evidence and that it would be laughed out of court, right?
4. When it has been demonstrated to a ridiculous degree that they were completely full of crap, they never apologize to the people whose lives they ruined.
Granted, Republicans have done similar things. It made them look stupid at the time and it makes Democrats look stupid right now. Brett Kavanaugh has been smeared so ruthlessly and shamelessly by a bunch of Leftist political activists so many times and with so little evidence, the Left should have the decency to be embarrassed by it all. But instead they desperately want to believe that Brett Kavanaugh was some over-the-top sexual predator, that Donald Trump is a Russian asset, that Jussie Smollett and a giant list of other hate crime hoaxers really were victims of hate crimes, that the earth is flat, the moon landing was faked, and vaccinations cause autism. I think we can expect a fresh bunch of false accusations against Brett Kavanaugh to pop up this time of year, every year till the day Kavanaugh dies. I expect that calls to impeach every Republican holding any political office of any kind will become normal to the point of it becoming boring.
Russia collusion, impeachment, impeach Kavanaugh. Dems have focused 100% of their energy on things that never have or never will happen. Why keep setting your base up for failure?
There are 350 million people in this country with all kinds of different agendas. You can’t just take everyone who claims somethings word for it, there needs to be solid evidence. Our founders were very aware of this which is why they set the burden so high, BEYOND a reasonable doubt.

There needs to be some accountability, especially when it is taken to the level it has been for Kavanaugh. All those who helped to perpetrate and then perpetuate the slander needs to be held accountable.
