Why do you wanna be dumb like bob?

The world runs on fossil fuels.

Our economy is driven.by fossil fuels.

The phone or computer you're reading this on wouldn't be here without fossil fuels.

And it doesn't do me any good to stop drilling holes in the boat if the other guys on the boat (China, Russia, India, etc) are just going to keep drilling holes on their end.

Democrats know it’s a scam that’s why they do jack squat but buy ocean front property and 15,000 sft mansions gobbling up 100 times more fossil fuel electricity than the average American.

Sounds like Republican math to me. I want a link to this fringe site that claims this.
Not my math....the European version of EPA. They are talking about 50 mph.

I take it you don’t have a science background. it takes more energy to overcome air resistance at higher speeds. For cars, it generally is 55 MPH. That is why the standard was applied to save “energy” until 1995.

CO2 emissions are pretty much directly linked to fuel effiency. Which is why Obama used them as a tool to reduce CO2 emissions. So...do we wait 25 years for the Obama fuel efficiency standards to kick in....or do it TOMORROW with a 55 MPH speed limit??

Search climate change European speed limits. Lots of information there.....and I will try and find AGAin the official European EPA site for the scientific paper.

Why is 55 MPH a “Republican math” problem?? They are DEFINITELY against going back to 55 MPH.

California is in a big fight with Trump over Obama’s CO2 emission standards over the next 25 years. They will reduce CO2 emissions by 32% in 25 years. TOMORROW, the Governor of California can reduce CO2 emissions in California by 30% by simply reducing the California the speed limit to 55 MPH. He doesn’t need ANYBODIES permission!!

Why is he fighting Trump without taking action on his own?? Democrats control over 70% of the miles driven in this country. California, Washington, Oregon can start reducing CO2 emissions by a huge amount tomorrow. The other Democrat controlled states can follow suit.

In Washington state, Governor Inslee and the Democrats gave Boeing 10 BILLION dollars in “illegal” tax breaks according to the WTO. Given the awful impact of jet travel on climate change isn’t it time to rescind the tax breaks and put additional CLIMATE CHANGE TAXES on Boeing to discourage air travel. Democrats control both houses of the Legislature and the Governors office. Republicans cannot stop it.....why are Democrats refusing to fight climate change by removing the tax breaks??

Democrats like carbon taxes and cap and trade which will raise gasoline prices in the neighborhood of SEVEN dollars a gallon. Devasting to rural areas without public transit, but in blue urban area it would have a huge impact on climate change and the money could be used for public transit. So why NOT local urban gas taxes of two and three dollars a gallon to get started??

In Seattle, the Clinton got 90% of the vote in 2016. That is how liberal the city is in its political outlook.

Surely, if the Democrat leadership starts implementing these proposals the blue states will support and cheer these changes....and they don’t NEED TRUMP!!

Time for the Democrats to get serious about climate change and set a good example for the rest of the country.

Because it has nothing to do with climate change or global warming. It is all about fleecing people to line the politicians pockets. Redistribution of wealth.

Um, no, it'snot.

It’s amazing that there are so many people here eager to explain exactly what AOC’s words meant without first bothering to find out what words she actually said. (Hint: A Google search would have given you the answer.) That behavior says a lot about those people’s interest in accuracy and honesty.
