You do realize that a good amount of pollution is due to human consumption or consumerism. What exactly do you want the government to do?
They will advocate for greater governmental control, then step by step limit what we plebians can do as far as travel, what we can purchase, what we cat eat, etc. Of course, none of this will apply to the elites, but only to us little people. We will live in a pre-industrial existence, while they live as they wish.
