Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought none of this was legitimate, and therefore had no legal standing with the courts. If any of this is going to court, it means that it's all correct and proper.
Which is it? You can't have it both ways.
You're wrong. Your idiot power mad friends Nancy & Co. have jumped the shark on this. There is PRECEDENCE in starting impeachment proceedings, and it DOESN'T start with a press conference!
A story that big ought to be all over all the national and international networks.
Is it...?
Not if they are Left-wing, and most of the world's media is Left-wing.
Most of them kissed the feet of people like Michael Avenatti.....hanging on his every word

In other words, someone had an opinion and wrote it down, and you believed it. Everybody else checked the facts and thought the story was full of cranberries, except for the ones who had to believe it because it supported their preconceived notions.
Avenatti, BTW, is going to jail. He's not a very reliable source for anything but Stormy updates.
The courts are going to have quite a different view of that.
We'll see. I think it's very likely that SCOTUS would side with the president due to congress' refusal to do things in line with precedent.

A presidential impeachment inquiry has literally never been started in the HJC. Ever.
The only reason they are trying to do it that way this time is so that vulnerable House Democrats don't have to go on the record this soon and they are not forced to use a more fair process like has literally always been done before.
When you feel like you can't do things the same way that they have always been done before, you have to ask yourself what is it that they are afraid of.
It's pretty clear that Pelosi fears a fair system that she wouldn't be able to completely control because she doesn't want the inquiry finding out the "wrong" facts. She's looking for political dirt to influence an election, not truly find out the facts.
Exactly, so there's no reason to not hold the vote real quick to clear up any confusion. They have the votes to do so and it wouldn't take any time at all.....so again, it makes you wonder why they are so afraid to do so.
No reason for them to, that's being pushed by Trump and his lapdogs in congress because taking a formal vote would give the minority party (Republicans) in the house subpoena authority and they would block the entire proceedings by issuing subpoenas constantly and trying to turn this into an inquiry into an attack on Obama, or Hillary or whoever else they can think of other than Trump. They've made their intent to protect Trump clear, why make it easier for them?

And just like that, the Republicans started caring about precedence.

Yeah but there is a reason for them to, the fact that an inquiry is even taking place has been contested because it was never authorized by the house as every previous presidential impeachment inquiry has been. Since it is being contested, the executive doesn't have to cooperate with it until the matter is settled.
Like you say, they fear a legitimate process because the Republicans would be able to be involved as well, just like has been the case literally every time there has been a presidential impeachment inquiry. They prefer to have an unofficial process that can be nothing more than a partisan witch hunt seeking dirt that can be used to influence an upcoming election.
