Just my assessment of the situation. This is all about wanting a Republican in office, in particular, Trump. Blacks are seen as "the problem" rather than "brainwashed by Democrats". The condition of the Black population is only of concern in the sense of "Blacks are a major burden on society". This is why the obsession over who Blacks vote for looms large. It's not about wanting better for Blacks. It's about wanting a Republican in office, and the fact that Blacks are pretty much voting AGAINST Republicans more than anyone else is seen as a problem.

That was an intentional setup get the dumb lower class blacks and white's to dislike one another to get their attention off the top 1%. Lot's of poor and working class white's are dumb as a stump they Idealize the super rich.

One must understand what "conservative" is. "Conservative" meaning "to conserve". What is being conserved? The status quo at the time is what is being conserved. In the 50s and 60s, conservatives were about conserving the racial status quo. Conservatives wanted to keep segregation and keep Blacks at a distance.

The John Birch Society was founded in 1958 as a far-right advocacy group. It was anti-communist. However, guess what it called the Civil Rights movement? Communism. It was against the civil rights movement. It was the conservatives from both parties who were against civil rights. The conservative of the 1960s was no friend of the Black man.

As a side note, it's not just rural America being infested with drugs. Look at cities like Dayton,OH;Portland,OR;Tulsa,OK;Albuquerque,NM,etc.
In the 60's it was the Democrats who were against black rights and the GOP who fought for them. Times have changed. What I'm seeing now is the GOP is turning more populist and into big government control, expanded programs for this and that, etc. You might see more POC trending GOP if Trump continues down this path of sneaky socialism. But you may also see a return of southern democrats...already have actually.

I would have agreed with you on this point 1 year ago, but after seeing how much president Trump is regularly attacked, the guy probably can't trust very many people in Washington. He puts people he trusts, including family, into positions of power because he can't trust anyone else. Washington is full of liars, con-artists, political careerists & opportunists, and other ilk that aren't trustworthy.

Also known as Nepotism.

The Democrats are utterly without principles or morality. A party with members that support late-term abortion, even up until birth, is plainly EVIL. We cannot unite with evil people. A party that wants to put illegal aliens before U.S. citizens is frankly corrupt and stupid. We can't unite with corrupt and stupid people. As a Christian I cannot unite or work with people who are blatantly evil & amoral, and I applaud president Trump for dividing the wheat from the chaff!

Please describe in detail his strong principles and morals.

I'll wait.....

Nice try.

The original House version:

Southern Democrats: 7–87 (7–93%)
Southern Republicans: 0–10 (0–100%)
Northern Democrats: 145–9 (94–6%)
Northern Republicans: 138–24 (85–15%)

The Senate version:

Southern Democrats: 1–20 (5–95%) (only Ralph Yarborough of Texas voted in favor)
Southern Republicans: 0–1 (0–100%) (John Tower of Texas)
Northern Democrats: 45–1 (98–2%) (only Robert Byrd of West Virginia voted against)
Northern Republicans: 27–5 (84–16%)

Looks like region played a big role. 98% of northern Senate Democrats and 94% of northern House Democrats supported the Civil Rights Act. 85% of northern House Republicans and 84% of northern Senate Republicans supported the Act. Most southern Democrats didn't support it. No southern Republican supported it.

Times might have changed, but not that much. It's mainly the GOP these days making it harder to vote. Go look up Brian Kemp and his record for voter suppression. The GOP might be using populism, but it's mainly aimed at attracting more working class Whites. It isn't about trying to get more Blacks to vote GOP.

Nice try, but no cigar.

BTW, that comment you made regarding Blacks possibly making a return to the GOP for "socialist" reasons is enough to tell me that you think Blacks only want free stuff. You've proven yourself to have a covert prejudice side to yourself.

And I want to say one more thing here. A while back, President Trump said, when he was talking to the black community, “If you vote for me, what do you have to lose?” Because the do-nothing Democrats have done nothing for the black community. 2020 is around the corner and we have a lot to lose now because President Donald J. Trump has done so much for the black community. Thank you, President Trump." (Applause.)

Because the do-nothing Democrats have done nothing for the any one except themselves. (not that the republicans are much better)

You mean just like you and your ilk allow Trump to live in your heads 24/7 and rent free to boot? Or when Obama was president, you all kept yammering about GW Bush and blaming everything on him?

Also, you all have no problem bringing up Hillary in when it suits your purpose.

Pot meet kettle.

You still are against the wall even though others have repeatedly pointed out that the wall Bill Clinton had built at the San Diego/Tijuana border has drastically cut down on crime and illegal crossings? Why are you living in denial?
