And now that President Trump repealed the penalties Obama had imposed on people who didn't sign up for Obama-approved health plans, you have a much greater choice of plans.

You can even still sign up for Obamacare if you want it.

(almost no one wants it)

I used to think it was better to make more money, wrong, it's what you do with the money you make that matters. With Obamacare, it's better to keep expenses low, make a low income and/or max out 401k, contributions to reduce taxable income, then build a post tax investment account (net worth).

To retire early (59.5 yo) have money in both pre and post tax retirement accounts and you don't have to draw too much out of your 401k which if you do, you'll move to a higher tax bracket (higher taxes) and will pay full ticket price for healthcare insurance (super expensive). It's a fine line those of us who paid our way have to walk.

I'd call having the "Affordable" Care Act result in unaffordable premiums for plans with ridiculous premiums more than merely a "flaw" for those of us suffering under it.

You just KNOW that a law is bad when the only when to survive it is to try and earn less money.

The ACA was never perfect but it has helped millions and it was a start. I don't understand why this administration constantly complains about it instead of refining it and making it better.

It's not enough they want to siphon money from us, they also want exclusive determination of what constitutes a new so-called 'disease' that merits it.

Because you want to ignore that fact that Obamacare HURT millions.

It's also hurt millions, but the millions it hurt are moderate earners - and liberals care primarily about low-income people and illegal aliens.

And as I've said a gazillion times, Obama set this thing in motion knowing how nearly impossible it would be to claw back. It's easy for people who don't understand it to convince themselves they're being magnanimous by saying "let's refine it and make it better." It CANNOT be refined; it was too fatally flawed from the beginning, and that was by design. Read Alinsky and you'll get a clue as to why one intentionally designs a system that will fail.
