If you'd have told me these things would happen before 2016, I'd have called you a liar, but here we are. The DNC forced Hillary, the only person Trump could have beaten, on everyone and now we've got unelectable garbage like Warren, Biden, and Bernie going against him. If I didn't know better, I'd think they were throwing the election on purpose.
My sister, a life-long loyal Democrat, said that a couple of months ago. They had a couple of reasonable candidates but they were pushed to the side so quickly most never even caught their name.

+1 agreed on all of the above.

Here is what I know or think I know. All the stats say the wealthy received the biggest tax cut in history. Then all the stats say the Economy is healthy and booming with record unemployment and rising wages. Now, whether I agree with the stats or not is not the question that is how it is portrayed. Typically, in American History a President is given a second term when it looks this good. (Mind you I disagree with how it looks but that is what the media directors are presenting.)

That all works in Trump's favor. Then the top candidates may not be as strong to the general public as they are to their individual niche markets. I'm thinking Warren and Sanders. With Joseph Biden speaking to a broader audience, realistically he is old and speaks from a different era.

So, yes, Trump might get a second term. What do you think? What will you do? Is America ever going to be the same again?

For me I'll vote for any Democrat running against him. But when election night comes a year from now and potentially Trump wins don't say you didn't hear it from somewhere.
Your vote won't count, cause I'll cancel it.

Amy Klobuchar is still in the race. Unfortunately, she doesn't play that well on TV, lacks a little in the Charisma department, etc.

If she had just a bit more of a spark or charisma I think she'd be the one who could beat Trump.

The Democratic party is very much in the process of screwing the pooch. Be prepared for four more years of Doltish Trash. The thought is nauseating, and I'm not even a Democrat.

What they need is an Obama/Bill Clinton caliber politician but they simply don't have one apparently and instead are pulling up wood chips from scraping the bottom of the barrel so hard.

I really liked Michael Bennett and Tim Ryan, they were more moderate.

Can you expand a little on what you think they are screwing up (e.g, running too far to the left, etc.)? Also, just curious if you are an independent, Republican, libertarian, etc?

I like Klobuchar as well. I do think she has personality but she's not as forceful as Warren.

I also like Warren but I'm not a fan of rushing into Medicare for All. I'd rather start with a public option and see how that goes.

That said, each candidate on the stage is smarter and could run this country on hell of a lot better than President Twitter.

I agree with the OP. Yes, Trump is a terrible president, and an even worse human.

But if dems take the day off next November, thinking Biden has it in the bag, they are sorely mistaken. There are plenty of idiots out there who actually think Trump cares about them and is good for America. Sad, but true.

Progressive democrats who are fans of Warren and Biden MUST get over themselves and vote for Joe in 2020. Otherwise, we will have four more years of madness (if Trump isn't impeached and removed from office or quits).
