Exactly the point. Nope, not ever.

He was never investigated in Ukraine, and never investigated by the US government. Trump and Rudy pushed a conspiracy theory (which could not have actually happened because the timing was completely wrong), and wanted the Ukrainian government to publicly "investigate". In other words, they wanted the Ukrainian government to 'announce' an investigation of no merit for the publicity value. The public announcement was crucial, because there is no political value to Trump in an investigation the American voters are unaware of.

NOTE: Trump was not having the US government investigate (because Trump learned that would be impossible as well as illegal), that would be known as malicious prosecution ... Trump strong armed the Ukrainian government, because Trump and Rudy had what they assumed was leverage over the weakened state fighting for it's very life, easy to bully.

The thing that amazes me is that Trump kicked off this fake smear campaign on Biden just after polling showed that Biden would beat Trump. Not too subtle. What a dork.

The actual whistle blower is irrelevant at this point. They have done their job. The concern has been verified by several people and there is plenty of evidence to corroborate. Its like someone calling 911 about a fire. There is a fire, or there is not. Once it is determined there is a fire, the person that called 911 is out of the picture. They are not needed any longer.

Republicans have no legitimate defense so their ploy, their smoke and mirror, is to demand the whistle blower in hopes they can discredit them in some way even though there is plenty of other evidence.

First it was a claim the investigation was not legit because there was no vote. When the house voted, the Republicans had a fit.

Then it was a claim Republicans were being excluded even though half the committees were Republican and a whole group barged into the closed meetings.

Now the meetings are public and Trump is saying they should not be.

Trump has been like the proverbial bull in a china shop since day one. He has no respect or understanding of government. All the scrutiny and question of his actions are brought on by himself. Everyone has seen Presidents they didn't agree with but they were respected and tolerated because they at least acted like decent human beings. Trump doesn't. He is a target because of the way he acts. Every day he shows what a small person he is. He has no honor, no integrity. He is a poor leader, amoral and insensitive. This is why decent people can not tolerate him. Not because he is a Republican. Not even because he won the Presidency. If he had just acted like decent person, actually respected the position and job he was elected to do, it would be a different story. But he hasn't. Instead he represents almost everything a President should not be. That is why he deserves any thing truth and justice can afford him.

Graham's puffed-up expressions of right-wing outrage are sickening. He is a coward.

So Trump didn't want an actual investigation, which would certainly not need to be announced publicly.

Sounds a lot like his birther BS.

Too bad he didn't call those investigators searching hopelessly in Hawaii and send them to the Ukraine.

That is the million dollar question, I often wonder that myself.

Makes perfect sense why the same man that called Trump a racist and a xenophobe is now defending him with all his might.

That is how trump survives. He sends his henchmen out to find dirt on someone so that trump can control them. Lindsey is a pansy shaking in his boots and is of no use to his constituents.
Trump is using every mafia trick he can!
