Yeah. You probably should have read the report before analyzing it all for us...
The news was not all good. As the holiday shopping season accelerated, retail companies added just 2,000 net hires as gains in general merchandise of 22,000 and motor vehicle and parts dealers of 8,000 were offset by an 18,000 loss in clothing and clothing accessories.

Well, 50K+ of that number is just the GM strike ending.

Still a good, strong report. Anytime we beat projections/estimates is a good thing. Let's keep it going.

Nice numbers but let's remember when this was Obama and we would have been reminded the REAL unemployment rate is 36% since the LFPR is currently at 64%... Funny how the last three years nobody has said this at all and it is just the straight unemployment numbers. Right?

Democrats should take note:

This is what winning looks like.

Its a seasonally adjusted number. The unadjusted number is 622. Its a good number, but hardly unprecedented.

Not sure on the calculation that we have more jobs than workers, but assuming its true it wouldn't seem to make much sense to limit migration, weaken environmental laws and other regulations, and deficit spend in the name of promoting job growth

Ouch! 7000 mining jobs lost in a single month. Trump promised to save them. There are only so many fast food places where the demand for workers is taking place.
