The idea won't go anywhere because it's mean-spirited and needless. After today Trump will always have an asterisk next to his name.

Git yer guns!

Nothing is going to happen except impeachment and nothing more. Trump's actions calls for it and the Republican Congress knows that. Instead of defending Trump, they are attacking the process. Sad day for sure.

I explained to her that Vice President Biden was captured on video threatening to withhold funds to Ukraine if the prosecutor investigating his son isn’t fired within 6hrs. Because investigation of Biden's son had NOTHING TO DO with why the USA and other countries were pressuring Ukraine to fire its corrupt prosecutor - as you well know. Try again - this time, tell your wife the WHOLE STORY.

Default Trump Denies Reality of Fox News Impeachment Poll.

A new Fox News poll found rising public support for Trump’s impeachment and he reacted as he always does to negative polls, ludicrously claiming that Fox News, of all organizations, is biased against him and that their polls are always inaccurate. And of course he launched his attack on Twitter.

CNN's left leaning Chris Cilliza warns that impeachment could backfire on the Democrats:
CNN pundit: Impeachment could backfire on Democrats

CNN political pundit Chris Cillizza warned Democrats that impeaching President Trump could backfire on them.

"Remember this: Pelosi did not want to go down the impeachment path," Cillizza wrote Wednesday. "She stood athwart her party over the summer as more and more of her Democratic members announced their support for an impeachment inquiry over Trump's conduct in connection to special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election."

Public support for impeachment has dipped from 52% to 46%, while Trump's job approval rating has gone from 39% to 45%, Cillizza noted.

When you look at the aggregated polls, it does appear that the Fox News poll was an outlier that had results suggesting far more support for impeachment and removal than actually exists. Just because it's a Fox News poll doesn't mean that it's friendly to the president, just like how the CNN poll doesn't look like it was unfriendly to the president.

Right now support for impeachment has been under water in the aggregate for about a week now and opposition for impeachment has risen to the highest level recorded and it kept on rising from there.

The only demographic that supports impeachment and removal more than opposes it is among Democrats. Independents oppose impeachment and Republicans almost universally oppose it.

Any poll should come with a warming label referencing the 2016 election, when polls indicated Hillary had a clear path to victory.
