I'm surprised that that the favorability numbers are even this high.
Abandoning the Kurds to be slaughtered and handing over our military bases and equipment in Syria to the Russians rubbed a lot of military folks the wrong way.
Having a Commander in Chief who tweets like a lunatic, and doesn't appear to have even the basic grasp of what is going on in the world can be a bit unnerving.
When Mattis resigned, many of the military folks we know lost their enthusiasm for Trump.
Yup. Same here. In my circle of veterans support for Trump is 100%.
That doesn't speak very highly for your circle of veterans. The fact that military officers are more opposed to Trump than enlisted people, could easily be explained by the great difference in educational levels.

We all know how accurate the polls are these days. I'd say Trump support by active military and police officers is closer to 70% if not higher. These types of jobs appeal to harder core conservatives by nature with nary a liberal to be found.
Today`s military is far different from the military in WW2 John Wayne movies. It`s no longer a bunch of white guys.
