A gunman has killed one person and critically injured another inside a packed Texas church during a livestreamed service before he was shot dead by an armed member of the congregation.

Trusty said she was told by a supervisor at the scene that one of the people who died was the shooter.

. . .

A witness told CBS that the armed man walked up to a server during the communion and opened fire.

'You feel like your life is flashing before you. I was so worried about my little one,' witness Isabel Arreola said.

According to WFAA, in the video a person wearing a large coat can be seen standing up and pulling out either a rifle or a shotgun.

The shooter appears to fire twice before a member of the congregation shot back.

A huge thanks to the congregant who shot this bastard dead! The death toll would have certainly been higher (two dead, including the shooter) had members of the congregation been disarmed!

MODs, please keep this as its own separate thread. Someone started to talk about it in a completely different thread about a different shooting.

One has died and the another is in critical condition. The "good guy with a gun" couldn't save those.

The US is becoming a war zone wherever we go!

Who are the two "victims?" From what I'm reading one of the two dead is the gunman himself.

But I guess you'd be happy if the good guy with the gun wasn't there and armed based on your comment above

Why would you refer to the dead shooter as a "victim"?

I would refer to citizens of our country as being victim to gun violence wherever we go!

When armed security guards are needed in Churches, apparently faith has been shot to death also.

A sign of the times, indeed, but I'll take the armed security and continue going about my business. Thank you, very much.

Yeah....how can you go to church with a gun when one of the Ten Commandments is that thou shalt not kill?

Obviously not true believers.

If someone wants you dead, you are going to die, if you never see it coming.
It is called, "getting the drop"

As long as you are not the person targeted, you have a 95% chance at walking out alive, if armed.
