Background checks are common sense. That's why a very large majority of Americans support them.
Banning cars would be 100% effective in reducing people dying from DUI drivers.

Ready to do so or are DUI deaths acceptable to you?

Praise the lord, and pass the ammo! I believe that's the 11th Commandment...

Relax my friend, they just don't get it, they'll never get it. Their brains don't work within the normal realms of reason.

It's sad that we live in a time where people in a church become target practice for some guy with a gun. I am glad churches hire security guards now and that some members lawfully carry guns to church so when someone decides to shoot the place up, return fire is guaranteed. Mind you, it is not a cause for celebration, but it's much better outcome than the other possibility.

My Bible never taught me that turn the other cheek would mean to sit there as some nutjob shoots the place up

We have a violence problem in our culture.

Do you believe the presence of an inanimate object makes people violent?

As usual, you didn't answer the question.

Are you suggesting that the armed members of the congregation are not people of faith? It's a yes or no question.

When did God say you don't have to do anything for yourself?

Just like you need to provide food for yourself, you need to be responsible for defending yourself.
