American consumer confidence is very high. THAT is one of the best predictors of how people are feeling (secure or insecure in employment and wages).

Don't spin a bunch of people with useless degrees and no other skills being unable to find work outside of retail clerks as representative of the entire economy.

So you dont dispute there is a large chunk of USA workers not even on the employment charts and those that are have part time or low wage jobs cause there arent better ones.

As to "useless" or no degrees. Like it or not they are part of USA population and part of those that are underemployed. Just cause you want to believe EVERYBODY that tries can be a CEO, doesnt make it true. If every adult in USA had a PhD, then it would take a PhD to get job at McD and you would need half dozen PhD's to get a real job. There simply arent living wage jobs for all no matter what degree they have hanging on their wall. And there will be those that have an obscene amount wealth that they didnt earn with the sweat of their own brow, they gambled and won, and bought enough govt officials to keep it. Not necessarily smarter, but they usually have either enough inherited wealth to gamble or enough credit to gamble. They didnt earn it by actual work.

His deficit spending and trade tariffs are dismantling neo-liberal financial policy.

He's pushing a disengagement with China which is used as a cheap labor supply to artifically increase capital gains and price out smaller businesses:

https://www.scmp.com/economy/china-e...e-after-donald

His foriegn policy has hurt US power in the middle east which is a great thing for people like me who want to end US imperialism.

Actually the criticism from democrats on Trump's Iran policy come from right-wing talking points that Trump is strategically damaging the United States (which is a good thing and hurts corporate power domestically).

https://twitter.com/matthewstoller/s...27523931435008

His trade policy has promoted democracy for the first time after Bush, Obama, Clinton, and Reagan worked over time to destroy it ^^^^^^^^^.

Yes, supporting global trade over domestic law disregards democratic effectiveness.

He has lowered the corporate tax rate which means the federal government is less reliant on corporate investment for funding, increasing the economic power of small scale consumers/producers. He has cut back ineffective welfare spending.

I'm not a supporter of Trump, I'm well to the left of anyone here, but if it is between Trump and Biden I'll vote Trump or stay at home (probably the latter).

PS. It's surprising that all attacks on Trump from the democrats here have been far right (more Russian aggression, more imperialism, more globalism, etc.)
Your restraint on not commenting about Suleymani s killing is impressive. What is your view on that?

And btw, everything on the OP is true. Trump is the best thing to have happened to America in a long time, but the media works overtime to hide these accomplishments.

All is well in SoCal.
If you have to ask, it’s a waste of time to innumerate the reasons.

Not too bad at all, if you want to stay within the US bubble and never travel overseas where they hate us and think we are idiots. But who cares about the rest of the world, right?

There are better ones. People don't want to work the better ones. What "better jobs" do you think SHOULD exist or WOULD exist but for Trump's mismanagement.

If you have a beef with high paying jobs being outsourced, your beef is with neoliberal economic policy. Which is currently mainstream Democratic (and Republican). Trump is the actually the only one trying to dismantle that system. Bernie Sanders used to as well.

Americans have a conscious choice in the career paths and degrees they choose. I'm not sure what your solution is? Subsidizing majors for which there is little market?

Don't choose an art history major or English lit major if you don't come from a privileged background.

They don't "hate us".... you don't do much travel, do you? The average European has no beef with the average American. Hell, the average person in any country is rarely going to express any animosity toward any random person of another country who isn't purposely antagonizing other people.

And if some random Eurotrash makes rude comments to you as an American, just understand that's a reflection on their poor upbringing and inferiority complex.

You have low expectations. Unfortunately, the job requires more.

Europe isn’t the only place to travel to.
