Imagine how many farms would go under without the $22.4 billion.
The whole industry seems to be on taxpayer funded life support thanks to the trade wars.

You won't hear this on FOX.

From the article:

Recent bankruptcies were concentrated in the 13-state Midwestern region, a key battleground in the presidential election where grain, soybean, hog and dairy farms have been hit by trade disputes. More than 40%, or 255 filings, were in the region.

What I'm seeing is one giant-ass-umption.

The fact that the bankruptcies were "concentrated" in that region does not prove those farmers were affected by the so-called trade war.

Also, if you understand bankruptcy law, the fact that a farm files bankruptcy is not proof the farm failed, or that the so-called trade war was the cause of the failure.

Farmers are humans, and because they are, they're often married and like married couples they also divorce, which is one of the primary causes of farm bankruptcies.

Right?

Alimony and child-support payments are overwhelming, so to protect the farm, the farmer files bankruptcy. Small business owners are often forced do the same.

There are other reasons farmers file bankruptcy. They purchase new farming equipment and cannot maintain payments after a time, which would happen whether the so-called trade war existed or not.

Farmers might be excellent farmers, but that doesn't mean they're also excellent businessmen.

The Dems will wiggle and squirm and write headlines but 580/2,000,000 = .029%
Talk about something else. You're losing this one.

Yes, if we have lost half of farm income, then it is obviously a massive problem, and the total number of farms, including tiny ones, is irrelevant.
