I totally agree, OP. Trump has mastered this technique in his 40+ years as a silver-spoon dbag.
I've said it many times before on here. Donald Trump is a terrible person and an awful human being. But he is VERY good at what he does. He's a lying, conniving, vindictive, egomaniac. He's been throwing money at problems and then lying about them for decades.
The only way it works is that there are enough people who buy into his garbage. That's the part that blows my mind.

Slaughters? How can you say he’s not good for Americans when we are much better off than before he took office? After the disaster of the last two bush admins I had my doubt about a Republican president, but he’s proven his policies work and became the best Republican president since Reagan. His tax, immigration and trade policies are pro worker and wages are rising as a result. Now his deficit spending is an entirely different story but with the left offering socialism what else can we do.
The Reagan era is why we nearly lost the country and would have but for Trump. The Trump Presidency is a blessing, but damned if I know what we did to earn it. I'm just grateful for it....like so many millions of others.

Allies...none left save for Philippines, Egypt and Turkey. All autocrats. Hmmm....
Trade.....a disaster.....numbers prove it.
Jobs.....all created pay minimum wage. Ask the families where both adults are working to just to stay alive. Where's the "big paying" ($40-50 an hour) manufacturing jobs which it promised?
Environment.....drill, dig and cut. Anything for corporate profits. Screw being able to breath or have fresh water to drink. Won't even bring up global warming. "What warming. It snowed in DC"
Deficits: climbing rapidly....over a trillion dollars each year under Donald. Massive deficit approaching $23 Trillion.
Taxes...big guys got a cut...rest of us got the bill.
Health Care.....less, and paying more. Pre-existing conditions? Sorry. Prescriptions? All are higher so the drug big whigs came become even richer...and pay less taxes.
