Trump's personality is very brash and abrasive, and to be quite frankly embarrassing, but I have learned a lot during his time in office. I learned how awful the left and far left people are. Calling everyone that voted for Trump a racist. I never knew my old party was that ignorant. People vote for hope and what they feel is best for them. So people in some depressed town that had good manufacturing jobs in years past, but don't now voted for Trump because he took the time to speak to them. Hillary didn't take any time to speak to them and stuck her nose up while walking by. Who the heck do you think people in small town USA would vote for? Usually the candidate that speaks to them. Kind of obvious. Trump is focused on job growth and I feel he is doing a good job on that front. In 7-10 years we will get a better look at what he is doing today. That is how it works.

So is it worth it? I think I would be living in a more ignorant state of mind if Trump didn't get elected. I never knew how many people are racist in society against white people. I honestly feel the country is more divided than ever, but maybe we will grow from this and realize the Internet gives a lot of unintelligent people a louder voice than they really should have. We will figure that out someday I hope.

Is it worth it? Not sure. Ignorance is bliss so they say and without a Trump in office I would still be a Democrat thinking my party was better. I don't think it is a better party as it is running on pure hate. I am an Independent now and feel good about that, but I can't vote in the primary.

I honestly don't know at this time if it is worth it. I miss living ignorantly of how so many people are, but sometimes growing is painful.
Interesting post - there is no question that Donald Trump is unlikely any President before him. What you call "jerk", "brash" & "abrasive" .... you also admit that his communications with the public are responsible for no longer being "ignorant". I've never been to New York, but I spent over 25 years working with and for New Yorkers. Many were much like President Trump. I may not have liked their attitudes, BUT I learned a lot from them.

In today's world of almost total collaboration (some might called it Collusion) between the Democrat Party and the Media -- it is absolutely necessary to have a voice that is independent from their Rubber Bubble. You are correct - we would not know anything about the attempted Coup against a Political Party and sitting President if President Trump wasn't "brash" enough to tell the world about it.

"Brash, abrasive, jerk" -- maybe so, but many like the idea of knowing what the President thinks in real time without some Leftist Media pundit giving his/her interpretation.

I am one of the "many" and it looks like you are also. That Leftist Bubble is getting holes punched in it.

Trump was an even more unlikely President.
A non-politician, a self funded primary candidate who beat out a strong field of experienced politicians.
A man who understands the common man, the forgotten majority who felt they had no voice.
A business man, a deal maker and a self made man who owns his own business and has hired many thousands of people over the years. A man who is very familiar with international business & politics.
A man who understands unions, he has dealt with them for years. A man who understand Regulations and how they work. The Elite Establishment hates him.
A former Democrat, a basic Independent -- Trump is truly what people have said they wanted, an independent who self funded a Campaign. What Donald Trump says today is what he has been saying since the 1980's. His accomplishments in improving our Economy in just 3 years against the Republicans, Democrats and almost all of the Media is nothing short of astounding.
A happy warrior with a great sense of humor.

I never thought to see 2 such men as President -- Trump will surpass Reagan because the stakes now are so much more serious AND because of the unprecedented animosity toward him by the Media.
Trump will surpass Reagan because Trump is not a Politician. He is as Patriotic as Reagan, but the real difference with Trump is that he is fearless - He is not afraid of the Media, he understands that the people who vote are the real Power, not the Media.

I also doubt that Trump or any President will match Reagan's win of 40 of 50 States - but the times are very different and some of those States that Reagan won are perhaps forever lost due to their years of Far Leftist policy.

Big difference. Russia was scared sh&%#$%@ of Reagan. Off mic he even joked of bombing Russia. Trump is in bed with Putin and Russia. Not rocking the boat for later business purposes. As far as the media. Trump is a bully. Bullies are usually cowards. Daddy get me out of serving in the military. Enter bone spurs.

Can't stand the man and wouldn't want to have hardly anything in common with him but envy him because if I had just an ounce of that manipulation power, my life might be exactly how I need it to be.
It's crazy how scam artists have all this power and yet they use it to scam innocent people.

His tax, immigration and trade policies are pro worker and wages are rising as a result. Now his deficit spending is an entirely different story but with the left offering socialism what else can we do.
Is an American someone who is born in this country? Or also someone who identifies with other Americans? Because if it is the former, then who's we? Just as hopeless if not more.

Wow 50 cents more an hour? Guess I can go buy that nice house by the beach.
