Obama declared a public health emergency 2 weeks after the first diagnosed cases of the new flu strain and the CDC began releasing anti-flu drugs from the national stockpile. They (two of the doctors on the panel with Cuomo) also just said they had already reached out specifically to respiratory therapists across the county and expect to have a large increase in those people specifically. This was in response to a question from the press and they were prepared to address it. Again, this is obviously something that they have thought of and are doing their best to deal with.
Could you provide the info that implies that? Just curious because of all the retired nurses I know - none are going back. Mostly because they are the 60+ age but others that are working for insurance companies have said they have been out of actual field of hospital care so long and would do more harm than good as they don't know how to run the machines and so much as changed when it comes to care.
Also as stated - no one want to clean out the ventilators.
