Still almost no testing in Florida, yet 1500 cases.
About 1,000 tests being done per day.
It is literally impossible, given 22 million in population and approx. 5 million visitors (per month now) that 1,000 tests are all that are being called for. Even a major testing areas being set up in the Villages is limiting the tests per day to a very small number (see below - it's picking up..there only). About 200,000 seniors live in that area....
Good and Bad News....1/3rd or so of the testing to be done in the next few days is going to now happen at the Villages....because the Med school at UF is "studying" them. 400 to 500 a day. The bad news is that it is VERY unlikely that they are doing that many tests without suspecting a high percentage come back positive AND...it also means, as now, that many other in the state cannot get tested easily.
Putting that in perspective - many areas are much more infected than the Villages. If we had as much testing as those 200K residents, we'd be doing 50,000 + tests per day.
One can only guess based on those things. The reason, for those not familiar, that the Villages is now "special" is that it is well know Right Wing Enclave - to an extreme.
Smart people haven't believed in the Fed Gov since JFK assassination
Totally confirmed that it was a lone shooter by the same doctor that said Epstein offed himself.
Family member who went to the ER.....we actually semi-diagnosed from afar once we found out specifically where the major pain was! When he said "neck and back" wife and I said "meningitis" - and, sure enough, that's the diagnosis.
All the symptoms matches EXCEPT the location of the pain and aches...and he's been in full blown respiratory (cold/flu type) for a week or more before. Confusion...barely able to walk or function.
Anyway, this one is not a case of CV....not to say it may not end up worse (meningitis is no small thing depending...).
Bad timing for sure. This illustrates why maybe only 10% +- of tests end up positive. Lots of other related conditions that mimic it...from everything to nothing.

again, seriously.
the Villages is a concentration of a key risk group - those over 65 years old, right? Probably 75% over 65, right?
so now I'm confused. Are you trying to say that the old folks should be tested "less"? And thus die MORE?
Do you realize that by saying "Right Wing Enclave -to an extreme", that you are clearly inferring - ESPECIALLY you - that these are neo-Nazis/white Nationalists?
