In a series of tweets from his hospital bed on Wednesday, Mr Lat began documenting his illness and described the difficulties he faced in getting tested for coronavirus at the beginning of March.
After Mr Lat was refused a coronavirus test, he returned home before readmitting himself to hospital as his condition worsened. He said:”By Monday 3/16, I couldn’t breathe again. I rushed back to the ER – and this time they were on their game. They admitted me, gave me oxygen, put me in an isolation room – and FINALLY gave me the #coronavirus test.”
Mr Shemtob told the Law Journal that Mr Lat’s family have been prohibited from visiting him at the hospital, and cautioned people to “be vigilant and careful as possible”.
Take common sense health precautions, but don’t let biased news scare you.
Consider these facts:
1) Some panic from biased reporting on Italy being overwhelmed - but they leave out important facts. In the last 2 decades, Italy has drastically reduced hospitals & beds (from 268,057 to 192,548), they have an unusually high elderly population & the vast majority of coronavirus deaths had pre-existing diseases.
2) COVID-19 is likely over-reported. “Coronavirus, according to Dr. Wolfgang Wodarg, is a part of all viruses, and 8% to 15% of viruses are coronavirus, so that will show up in testing. This is especially the case when testing the already sick and dying, the old and infirmed, and this kind of testing would be far different than random population tests. In other words, if testing is set up to test sick people, up to 15% will show coronavirus.”
3) Government orders & ordinances have been passed that say those who gather in groups greater than 10 may be arrested. Not only is this violating US Constitutional 1st amendment rights, Congress is meeting this week & so are other government groups of +10. If this were so essential, they wouldn’t congregate either, but they are. They make rules but only expect “commoners” to follow them?
4) Each year, the seasonal flu kills way more than this coronavirus, and most survive fine without panic.
2019-2020 US deaths:
Seasonal flu: 59,000
Coronavirus: 414
I feel for Trump and friends but we can't hide the facts under the carpet. It's ugly. They are going to be limited to how they can help us, fix it. But when they start to hide things, it creates even more concern insecurity, doubt, lack of trust.
The S.C. Department of Employment and Workforce confirmed Friday that federal officials advised the state not to release hard numbers on how many people were filing new unemployment claims this week as businesses laid off hundreds and the state’s economy contracted due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Add three more zeroes to that number. It is a $500,000,000,000 ransom.
How much is this divided by the number of Americans? My calculator doesn’t go that high.
