But you're fine with a president who spends $100M in travel for his golf trips, which goes in his own pockets anyway since he owns the resort.
Yes.
Trump's travel costs are a function of his position. He is President of The United States.

Obama spent similarly.

The most lavish expenditure so far on record was the Africa trip and a Honolulu vacation, which cost taxpayers $15,885,585.30 in flight expenses alone. The single largest expense for accommodations was for Michelle Obama’s side-trip to Dublin, Ireland, during the 2013 G-8 conference in Belfast, when she and her entourage booked 30 rooms at the five-star Shelbourne Hotel, with the first lady staying in the 1500 square-foot Princess Grace suite at a cost of $3,500 a night. The total cost to taxpayers for the Obamas’ Ireland trip was $7,921,638.66.

win-win for everyone
Poor timing to threaten to defund the WHO in the middle of a pandemic, this battle can wait for another time. Certainly the WHO deserves some criticism but this is just red meat for his supporters

It's the perfect time. First, WHO is funded for the year so it's not hampering their ability to do what they are currently doing. Second, after the pandemic fewer will remember how badly WHO botched it in the early stages and the pain and anger over it will be less. There will be many who would rather just spend the half billion and not think about it any more.

Now apparently it will be. 60,000 or less
Sure we did the right thing by social distancing...who knows how many more would've died and still counting if we hadn't done that especially in NYC. Don't think anyone said millions...it was 100k

The W.H.O. is undergoing a review, that's all. We already provided them funding, it's not like we demanded they give the money back.

You can stop with the over the top dramatics.

The so called experts were pouring over their models and predicting millions of dead Americans.

I don't think the WHO is purposely pro China or anti-US.
But I DO think they are pro-paycheck, anti-accountable, and disapointingly incompetent.
Their head should quit to salvage whatever reputation remains from this cluster-$%&#.

I think it's called 'creative destruction'.

IMO, NO ONE GOT IT RIGHT.

I believe they are already funded through Jan 1 so what's the point, and even if they could defund them right now that would be a terrible decision. I'm not saying they don't deserve criticism, they absolutely do but this is not the time to pick this fight.

They are part of the problem....part of the reason the virus spread like it did. Had they not legitimized Chinese propaganda, perhaps things would be different right now.

A WHO that is owned by China is a dangerous thing that needs to be denounced.
