We shouldn't just "defund" WHO-we should be arresting and prosecuting their leadership. Their lies and efforts to cover for China has cost 130,000 lives and counting.
Not to mention our livelihood, economy, civil liberties. So many things were irrationally abused for this bs.

Jan. 21: The first U.S. case is announced in Washington state (as well as Vietnam and Singapore). WHO says the virus risk globally is high.

I think the only thing the WHO is guilty of is trying not to spread panic.

Looks like it's your ignorance. Your "fact check" is simply wrong. WHO met on Jan 22 and 23 and voted NOT to raise the global risk to high. It did not say the risk was high on Jan 21. That is simply false.

GENEVA: The World Health Organization on Monday said the global risk from the deadly virus in China was “high“, admitting an error in its previous reports that said it was “moderate.”

Maybe you will believe a South Korean source.

When did WHO change its mind? This was their position on Jan. 14:

It says "preliminary tests conducted by the Chinese have found no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission." Was that inaccurate? Does that somehow negate the fact that they alerted the US (and other countries) that it was a global health risk on January 5? Let's not pretend that the Trump administration was led awry by this tweet.

Responding on Wednesday to a question about the U.S. accusations, Dr. Mike Ryan, executive director of the WHO's Health Emergencies Programme, said, "In the first weeks of January, the WHO was very, very clear."

"We alerted the world on January the 5th," Ryan said. "Systems around the world, including the U.S., began to activate their incident management systems on January the 6th. And through the next number of weeks, we've produced multiple updates to countries, including briefing multiple governments, multiple scientists around the world, on the developing situation — and that is what it was, a developing situation."

"The virus was identified on January the 7th. The [genetic] sequence was shared on the 12th with the world."

Ryan noted that in initial reports, there was no mention of human-to-human transmission. But he also said, "There is always a risk with respiratory pathogen that it can move from person to person."

"When WHO issued its first guidance to countries, it was extremely clear that respiratory precautions should be taken in dealing with patients with this disease," Ryan said, "that labs needed to be careful in terms of their precautions and taking samples, because there was a risk that the disease could spread from person to person in those environments."

But, of course, Captain Queeg wants to pin this on the NGO that actually warned us.

Yes, it was HIGHLY inaccurate. Why didn't WHO detect that lie?

American Democrats continue to defend their Communist Chinese brethren. Sad.

It sounds like they shared what the Chinese told them. I put the blame on China not on the WHO.
