Those with higher IQs and higher levels of conscientiousness (grit, etc) and risk-taking will continue to acquire and maintain a wildly disproportional share of resources and power. Just enough charity and handouts will be given to havenots to prevent "unrest". And not a penny more.
Charity is voluntary.
Armed robbery is not.
There's a luger in your rib cage, if ya haven't noticed.
IQ doesn't have as much to do with it as willingness to be a sociopath and take advantage of others as a predictor of great success in American style capitalism. If you aren't a sociopath you can probably count on just getting by or maybe a touch better if you are lucky.
It's not capitalism that requires sociopathy. If you're a sociopath under capitalism (we live under socialism) the market still determines winners and losers.
Sociopathy is necessary for statism aka socialism.

More like, those with higher IQs respect academics and the value it brings to seeing the world through a clear lens. That's why they can weld power and resources. Cause they see what's really happening.
Those without such an insight? They see it through their rosy colored lenses and try to frame the debate about their issues they care about and ignoring reality. Plenty good at rejecting the neutrality of academics. All they're doing is shooting themselves in the foot. Easy example: why would anybody during this pandemic claim it's even a hoax anymore? Why are anti-vaxxers even a thing when it's clearly proven to not be?
I've found that those with a more modest IQ can say in three words what it takes someone who thinks they're highly intelligent a whole paragraph to say.

Who specifically AREN’T you in this thing with? Give some examples.

I find that to be true of highly intelligent people whether they "think" they are smarter in addition to just being smarter or not. But it's because less bright people make fewer observations and inferences. They give less analysis and recognize fewer fine points of delineation.
