With all this hype, all this terror, panic, end-of-the-world sensationalism that we are being fed day after day by the media. Is there any chance, given their history of trying this before, that they are using a common cold/flu to literally destroy our economy?
CNN leads the way when it comes to One Story Journalism, choosing to grasp the hot button du jour and run with it until they can't no more. What concerns me though is that there's a deeper plot going on. One that has been tried before recently and failed. Perhaps this is another attempt at destroying the economy for the sake of political change?
If that turns out to be the case, how can we hold them accountable?

The media didn't cause 50,000 deaths and 1 million cases in the US in 2 months. The media didn't close down the schools, shutter restaurants and bars and cancel sporting events.
But if someone really wanted to destroy the economy, they would tell everyone to ignore the virus, it's nothing worse than the flu, go about your business, etc. That way we'd have millions of dead and the economy would be permanently wrecked. So maybe you are onto something - maybe Breitbart and Fox News are trying to destroy the economy.

I disagree, I think that the media most certainly had an effect on school closings, businesses shutting down, and sporting events being cancelled.

People are DYING from this virus and all the Trump people care about is getting haircuts and playing a round of golf.
I went fishing today. 70 degrees and downright beautiful here in Oregon! Lots of people were out and about, families and the like. Nice to see in a VERY blue area of this BLUE state!

No, the media is trying to HELP the economy.
Problem is, the media thinks that adding more and more liberalism (govt intrusion and control), is what will help it. Which is why they keep trying to destroy Trump 24/7/365 - they think that's their most important task, since he opposes their liberalism.
But in fact liberalism will hold the economy back, and even destroy it. No matter how many times the (liberal) media sees the economy held back as the country swings further left, they continue to believe it's not so. Just a little MORE liberalism will finally turn the trick.
