Almost every year. Some years are worse than others, but this flu will be just like the other novel flu viruses of past. This ones nasty but will soon be a part of our yearly flu shot.
Not at all like the flu and if you read the research on it, you'd understand that. They're not even sure we'll have "a" vaccine for it.
The media, which relies on income from the economy for its survival, is trying to destroy the economy?

You're not thinking this through very clearly.
Did newspapers disappear during the Great Depression?
Of all the industries, news/entertainment will always weather any economic storm. They may have their own ups and downs, but they will always be there, in some form, because people need information, and they need an escape. That's especially true in bad economic times.
There will always be a market for what they're selling.
ETA: This is the kind of knee-jerk, contrarian response which is typical here, and is the reason this site is useless for any kind of serious discussion about the issues.
This forum has taught me that there’s no easier benchmark of an idiot than someone who thinks “the media” is some sort of singular entity, and not like, actual people doing different jobs within an industry.
The left wing media is 100% carrying out a propaganda campaign to destroy the economy under the Trump presidency. There's no question about this.
No question?
Isn't the right-wing media doing the same thing, just for different reasons?
And isn't Trump's propaganda campaign to undermine science and facts more dangerous than the Media's? Won't his lies and propaganda do more to ulitmately harm the economy than anything the media can do by reporting on it? For that matter, hasn't it already?
The media may be biased in HOW they report on Trump (I don't like that about them), but the fact remains that he gives them the material. If he were a decent leader, they'd have a lot less material.
Fox did the same for Obama, arguably they did a lot worse if you use reality as a benchmark. The difference is that he did not give them as much material, he did not lie nearly as much, and he was not as much of a thin-skinned snowflake as Trump is, so he didn't respond with a tantrum every time.
And in all of my tirade (as I'm sure you'll paint it), take note that I did acknowledge the media is biased in their reporting, but really, how can you blame them. Trump has been unprecidented in his assault on them, and really, it has been in response to the same thing every other president has had to deal with. At least it started that way. Maybe if he were not so combative with his lies and propaganda, they would not have to defend themselves, and would not be forced to set the record strait on the daily, JUST SO THEY CAN protect the American public from our own POTUS.
You guys are nuts. Even many Republican Governors and Senators are growing tired of his BS.

They don't have to be a "single entity" to function under hive mind/groupthink mentality.
"Journalism" tends to attract activist types and activists tend to be very left leaning.
You don't need to believe in conspiracy theories to acknowledge that the majority of the media is presented with a Left Wing bias/agenda.
I went fishing today. 70 degrees and downright beautiful here in Oregon! Lots of people were out and about, families and the like. Nice to see in a VERY blue area of this BLUE state!
The problem is that when the media has shown such a leftwing bias and anti-Trump bias since day 1, I treat them as being a hostile force and not one to be trusted. Thus, the premise of the OP wouldn't surprise me. The media as a whole has a long way before it re-earns the trust of the American people.
Since before day 1. After decades of outright lies, lies by omission and all kinds of obfuscation by a large section of the mainstream media, they don't deserve anyone's trust. Unfortunately a lot of people don't get that much of what the media spews is biased, incomplete, or just badly done. If a talking head on TV says it or they can read it somewhere, online or on paper, then it must be true, they think.
