I'm not a virus denier......

But there are some things that we're being told that really don't seem to make sense or even seem contradictory when you actually stop and think about them.

For instance, we're told that 80% of people who contacted the virus are asymptomatic or have very mild symptoms and that they are still contagious in that condition and can spread the virus to others .......

Now, considering that about half the workforce is still out there working in essential jobs, would you not think that there would be millions of these asymptomatic people spreading the virus at places like the grocery store, Lowe's, and other service related jobs that require interactions with the public and other employees?

Why is it all these asymptomatic carriers can be out there and we're still not seeing the numbers of infected that were predicted?

I'm sure there are a myriad of other things that make people go hmmmmmm.......

Edit:

Mods, please edit the thread title, it was supposed to be "Do you" not "So you".

well... i personally am starting to believe some stuff about COVID that the people who are "approved of" aren't saying.

i am starting to wonder why SCIENTISTS that don't agree with the approved perspective are being SHUT UP.

There is some very basic information that people have seem to forgot in grade school such as how viruses are spread.

Such as wearing a mask, unless you have a n95 mask, wrapping cloth around your mouth and nose is useless and is essentially a security blanket. Furthermore, you're doing more harm to yourself by restricting your oxygen supply, which lowers your immune system and you can potentially pass out. This can be dangerous when driving, as shown here.

But also, there is a ton of misinformation in the media. Sanjay Gupta on CNN was literally telling people you should go and wipe off your groceries when you come from a grocery store... Viruses aren't spread like that. There have even been articles that suggest you can pass the virus by farting...

It's getting pretty ridiculous, honestly. But I wish the media would be accurate.

Not all of the often 180-degree, opposing ideas expressed about COVID-19 can be correct . Further, we've learned that the media and politicians most often have an agenda that has little to do with plain truth.

Of course, the problem most of us have is choosing to act on opinions that may have life or death consequences.

If one truly believes it will rain, they will most likely carry an umbrella, ... rather than simply discuss the water-bearing characteristics of different cloud structures. With COVID-19, there are far more opinions than umbrellas.

That brings up another thing that seems contradictory......

We're told how durable this virus is and how long it can live on surfaces such as plastic or paper....

But why would it not be able to live just as long on these substrates like plastic when they are used for food packaging?

Its common sense that our govt does not tell the public EVERYTHING...there are some details and information they 'withhold', for a number of reason.

Mainly its done to avoid mass panic, to keep the public compliant and under control.

Sometimes the public is better off NOT knowing some of the details.

I view most of it as in-progress research. The available input provides some information on how to improve our survival odds, but tomorrow we'll know more and may need to change our behavior to match. Sometimes though you need to be able to read between the official lines, and try and deduce what they aren't telling us. Rumors are just rumors; they are probably incorrect and shouldn't be relied upon.

Gosh, that one is ANNOYING. First, it can last for days on steel, or minutes on a carpet floor or a table, or seconds in the sun. It changes everyday.

Of course not, we're on an instant news cycle with no shortage of people willing to report incomplete, preliminary and unverified information.
