Yup no planning for the food supply distribution system with all of this. Assuming that someohow the employees, plants would be immune and that only old people get it.
Such bad planning for this pandemic -- Trump can order them open all he wants -- they get sick -- guess what -- nobody to work in the plant
Meh, haven't had wendys in years. Prefer In n Out or any local spot nearby.
On that note, a girl from way back introduced me to Vega. Got a "Steak" sandwich.. It was bomb... I won't go vegan anytime soon, but if meat is off the menu, I'm not losing sleep...

Trump wouldn't order plants to manufacture essential products, but he will order meat plants open, putting workers at risk in the process. This really highlights, among other things, how the rights of our workers is lacking significantly. We should take this opportunity to strengthen the laws to protect workers, but of course, we won't.
Maybe people will finally recognize the recklessness and resulting disastrous effects of the govt shutdown when they cant get the things they thought would never be in short supply a.k.a. food
I blame the meat companies themselves first and foremost. It's not like there hasn't been PLENTY of information out there that this is very serious and exactly what you can do to mitigate the transmission, and yet they did absolutely nothing as workers protested the unsafe conditions, thousands of cases piled up among their workers and dozens died. Then finally, surprise, surprise, they had to shut down those plants, critical parts of the US food supply, because everyone was sick. Who'd have guessed it? And these are big, sophisticated corporations! No excuse for it.
And right behind them is the administration, who despite all the red flags week after week, didn't move in to provide oversight and support until the situation became critical.

Summer is coming so it will be relatively nice out for the Soviet-style breadlines.
Ya gotta look at the glass half full (even when we don't even have any water left to put in it).

It isn't the shutdowns causing the hiccups in the meat supply. They have been considered essential and were never ordered to shut down. The problem has been primarily the number of people at the plants that have fallen sick.
