You might get more than you bargained for. Trump (and the United States) may end up being the dog that catches the car.

the UN, WHO, etc started out as a good idea....then gradually became more and more corrupt

the goals now are move as much money and power to corrupt governments...while at the same time providing them cover as UN members

We should have gotten out a long time ago....every penny we give the UN....we give even more...directly as aid...to those same corrupt governments

Why don't you book passage from Canada to China?

You think it's so great.

The middle of a world wide pandemic is probably not the best time to break ties with a unifying body regardless of youropinion, that can come later. We need international cooperation to cure this virus so is Trump going to use his negotiating skills to bring the world together or do we each go our own way. We had international cooperation on HIV, Ebola and others and now we are on our own.

This virus doesn't stop at the border.

Just a reminder - the people were tired of the mess and the status quo and wanted change.

Obama promised change, but we got more of the same.

This is change.
In the sense that 9/11 was change. It's easy to wreck things, but tough to build them. Let's wreck the Iran nuclear deal. Let's wreck the US response to a pandemic. Let's wreck the falling federal deficit. Let's wreck NAFTA. The list goes on. He's a little boy throwing tantrums and breaking his toys. Now President Tweety wants to break social media.

Being ostracized by every civilized and uncivilized nation on this planet, for starters.

True. He can't seem to focus on one thing for more than one day, nor is he able to focus on more than one thing at a time.

That's beyond Trump's capability, unfortunately. He cannot lead, he cannot inspire others beyond his brain dead tribe.

What will now happen is that China will take advantage of our void to step up and become the world leader, and influence these forums to their advantage. They are thrilled with this. Donald is too stupid and simplistic in his world view to anticipate any of this. But when we look back and ask where it was that America declined and China took our place, it will be with events like this.
Hope A will not happen, despite B.

Count your blessings that Tweety is so incompetent. If he knew what he was doing, we would really be in trouble. Even Putin has tossed him back in the tool bin as useless.

Childishly ripping everything to shreds and angry tweeting is nothing more than putting a fat toddler in charge of the country. Trump starts with the WHO, goes to NATO and the UN and pretty soon the U.S. will have the worst reputation in the world.

Members of the United Nations are required to fund parts of the WHO, so if trump withdrew all funding from WHO, then that will be in violation of the United Nations, and Trump's next step might be to pull us out of the UN, or the UN might discharge the U.S for being in violation of its rules.

Trump is also is expelling ~10,000 Chinese students, and restricting some travelers from China into the U.S..

Trump is also removing some Chinese backed companies from our stock exchanges because they are not following the same rules the U.S. follows.

The word sanctions never came up in Trumps press conference today however.
Of course he would withdraw from the awHO once it was decided that WHO would launch a full universal, not just chinese, investigation on the origin of the covid virus. This means looking into american lab at Fort Detrick, among other things. So his withdrawal would make that not possible. Well, how convenient. Trump is hiding something.

There is far more at stake in the long run. If America is seen as unreliable by the rest of the world, we are going to lose big time.
