Of course it's spin, of the meanest kind. You're exactly right that people sometimes get flustered or distracted in the heat of the moment under the glare of the press and make a mistake. This is why I think it's wrong to mock Trump for misspelling his own name - I'm sure it was just a typo, such as we all make.

However, on the subject of dementia, many people think that's Trump's problem. (And we already know that Trump blames others for flaws of his own, like when he rants that others are lying.)

The problem is that Trump's entire campaign now has been to run misinformation on Biden, because Trump doesn't have anything to run on that is positive. All he has is "look at Biden, he's (even) crazier than me". My point, my ONLY point is that there is so much misinformation out there, so much biased and fake news going in BOTH DIRECTIONS, that as with most subjects anymore, it's hard to tell what is real and what is not.

If he is slipping, it would be hard to know for all the BS they put out that is obviously not true.

It all fits too, Trump's playbook has been to discredit science, discredit the legit press, discredit all forms of government that is "not him", and to discredit being educated. He is succeeding at some level, and this is the result.

I know, "TDS" and all that. Some of what i say is (admittedly) spin too, but there is a lot of truth to it as well. At least I can admit, the other side either blatantly lies about it, or they actually believe what they are fed. Either way, SAD.
I have not seen that much of Biden. Sure have never seen anything that would give the impression he was feeble minded.

DH has word retrieval issues as the result of medication side effect.

I do remember the right saying Hilary was a brain damaged falling down drunken hag. They even had doctored video to prove it.

These days I would only believe a live broadcast from a major network. It's too easy to create anything you want from video.

It is irrational to think his family would encourage him to see office knowing he has dementia. It is irrational to think the DNC would encourage a candidate with dementia to seek office. Problem with dementia is you can't calculate the progression. So May 2020 you might be able to get away with it. November 1, 2020 you can be so far gone that there is no denying it. No political party would risk losing a federal election just to make a guy with dementia become their nominee.

Much the same way that if Trump had mental health issues, I do not believe his kids, wife would allow him to run for Presidency. I do not believe the RNC would have allowed him to run for the presidency.

But old age is an issue. Losing contact with today, the real issues...being caught up in old time thinking.
Wow... No disrespect is meant, but Moneill, your dislike of Trump is obviously clouding up your ability to see the obvious with Biden.

Biden’s family knows that if he can win the presidency, it will mean prestige, power and more important, money. It’s pretty clear that the Biden’s learned something from the Clintons.... Selling influence to the highest bidder.

Watch, if Biden wins in November, the Biden’s will start up a “Biden Foundation.” His family isn’t stupid since they know his time will be very limited before the 25A kicks in and he’s retired.

If you think I’m lying, look what Biden did as VP in both the Ukraine and Communist China, where his son made millions/billion dollar deals... Traveling with his father, who was on official US business on Air Force Two... The DNC cannot spin that since it’s a fact.

And the Trump kids using taxpayer travel and connections to advance their wealth is OK?

Geezus. The double standard is mind boggling.

Biden is definitely suffering some major mental health issue. He used to just be a gaff master, but at least he could think and speak. Now something has gone horribly wrong.

I think it's pretty clear to most that he's suffering serious mental decline, but he's the Democrats' great white hope so they'll ignore it as long as they can.

this thread has nothing to do with Trump. It simply asks do you think Biden has dementia. Have you answered that?

time's a wasting. Biden can still read from a teleprompter but otherwise he's often incoherent. Seriously, politics aside, he's the worst possible candidate of the original 20 you had to pick from. Being an effective communicator is a prerequisite. He can no longer do it. You see people with dementia in their 60's. And this strategy of going to vote for the VP because Biden won't make it? ... IMO, that's just a dumb idea.

What would you think if you were sitting at this table back in January?
