Did your mom give you a skull fracture for staying out late? I mean, that might explain a lot.

What news are you watching?

You are in California. Los Angeles, your state's biggest city, has had several elected officials including mayor Garcetti say that police funding needs to be cut. Garcetti also used the word "killers" in a speech describing cops.

How is that not anti-cop from a cop's perspective with so many cops being shot and attacked lately?

Not to mention Obama who sounded anti-cop. There are mayors who have thrown cops completely under the bus and expect them to lie in the fetal position no matter what. Rahm Emanuel was one of them.

Good god... is this sending the wrong message to America. Cops too afraid to render aid? Cops indifferent to injuries caused? Cops too stupid? What the heck did we witness here? Indifference, blind obedience, assault, complicity?

ALL OF THE ABOVE.

Yeah, I saw the officer giving them orders to stay in line - but screw it - you do not have to follow orders when you know they are WRONG. To "serve and protect" doesn't mean to "IGNORE AND TO FOLLOW".

SCREW THESE *******S EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM.

NONE of them deserve to be cops after seeing this and doing nothing. Not a single one. There was NOTHING that was a higher priority at that time then giving aid to the injured man. NOTHING!
And you've been a police officer how long???

Sorry that you don't understand common sense. I feel for you.

I don't think those two cops are stupid nor indifferent. I think their actions reflect how they were trained, a culture of police militarization, the code of silence, and how police have become increasingly political. There's a real police culture problem that needs to be addressed from the top down. Some police chiefs "get it," others don't.

The video was so disturbing to watch. The old man did not deserve that. After he fell and was bleeding out his ear, the cops glanced at him and kept walking away, leaving him there to die!

I really wish posters would read the whole thread, especially when it's only a few pages long - so that each of us - no matter the side would quit having to repeat ourselves.

And don't forget the 5 Dallas cops being murdered thanks to Obamas hateful anti cop rhetoric. I didn't see cops nationwide going on a looting, arson spree.
