Other than hypocrisy that is?

Some of the slave owners getting a pass signed their name but how else did they serve the country? Others being vilified like R E Lee served in the US military for 32 years yet people are quick to crucify him for his flaws. You can take down all the statues and ban all the flags you like, you CANNOT change the history of this country, warts and all.

How else did Thomas Jeffererson serve his country?

You mean, besides serving 2 terms as President of the United States, after serving 2 terms as Governor of Virginia.?

You mean, besides founding the University of Virginia AND designing the buildings and campus.

You mean, besides purchasing the Louisiana Territory from Napoleon Bonaparte in 1803. The Louisiana Territory stretched from Louisiana to Montana and nearly doubled the size of the United States at the time.

You mean, besides drafting the Statue for Religious Freedom which guaranteed freedom of religion for all and overturned the Church of England as the only allowable religion that was allowed. His statute served as a precursor to the 1st Amendment of the US Constitution.

You mean, besides founding the US Military Academy at West Point during his presidency?

You mean, besides organizing, funding, and overseeing the exploration of the US to the Pacific Ocean by sending Meriweather Lewis and William Clark, who's resultant mapping and scientific documentation opened the entire US continent to pioneer expansion and settlement.

And her is my favorite of all.

Thomas Jefferson ABOLISHED THE SLAVE TRADE while president in 1808.

That is right folks!

Thomas Jefferson, who's statue is now being pulled down all over the country, ABOLISHED THE SLAVE TRADE.

In 1807, three weeks before Britain abolished the Atlantic slave trade, Thomas Jefferson signed a law abolishing “the importation of slaves into any port or place within the jurisdiction of the United States."

Thomas Jefferson ENDED the slave trade. With his signature, not a single black person was sold into slavery in the Unites States. True, he could not get the ownership of slavery abolished, but think about the supreme idiocy of tearing down statues of the man who only 30 years after we became a nation, he ended the possibility that any other person in the world could be captured, dragged to America in chains, and sold into slavery.

HE ENDED THAT. And they are pulling down his statue.

The ignorance is epic.

Well, somewhere right now someone is planning to pull down a Martin Luther King statue. Can't say that I blame them.

It's not just about ignorance for the left though. It's not really about historic slavery. It's really about dispossession and displacement of white Americans. Tearing down monuments is an ancient old act of conquest.

The "offended" believe their vandalism is excusable. Ironically, it makes them worse than those that offended them.

and TJ was a democratic REPUBLICAN, who believed in a small government, unlike his federalist (leftist) opposition of Hamilton who wanted BIG Government, continued slavery, and senate and POTUS appointments for life

So, who gets to decide what statues\monuments get to stay and which ones have to either go into storage, be destroyed or go into a museum and how does it get decided? What is off-limits?

What would the national sentiment be if rioters stormed the National Archives in Washington D.C. and burned it to the ground, destroying the original copies of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights in the process?

Good, we (conservatives) tried to warn liberals and America that it’s a never ending goalpost. Where permanent self-victimization and learned helplessness overrides education, resiliency, and self sufficiency.

Asian Americans showed people of color can prosper, but white guilt liberals don’t give a damn about that.

Now here we are, where idiots want to defund the police and erase all white history as we know. Congratulations liberals at the monster you’ve created.

They won’t get to the constitution and bill of rights, but trust me, they’re damn sure going to try.

Oh and all the national monuments in DC are in grave danger. Arlington cemetery will need a new fence, even when many of the names are people of color.

Wow, there’s a lot of liberals encouraging history whitewashing and censorship.

Big fans of China?
