They summoned someone with a gun to deal with someone writing in chalk on his own property and you think they're victims? She condemns her own actions in her apology. Now if people won't accept the apology and move on unless she repeats the behavior, it's at that point when the "cancel culture" becomes a problem.

Birchbox officially cut ties with her company before the apology, but also said they hadn't even been working with her the past several years anyway. She shut down her own company's website and twitter herself.

From the hardcore impoverished ghetto to the ultra white liberal capital of SJWville (Santa Monica) I've followed one rule: I don't ask, don't tell...as long as you aren't clearly physically hurting someone I go about my day because I don't know or care what you're doing.

That means I've walked past drug deals, people exchanging AK-47s (gun enthusiasts I assume...yeah enthusiasts), guys selling dozens of TVs off their porch (hey, I'm sure those were acquired through moral means), etc.

It's none of my business. I got enough problems.

The hanger down the car window is what insurance is for. Could be the owner who locked their keys in.

People don't know the fine art of conversation.

You suspect this guy is a vandalizing the property and want to get your Columbo on (again, I wouldn't but ok)? Introduce yourself. Ask him his name, how's his day, and that you're interested in his message.

More flies with honey and all.

But a lot of cops roll like this lady: immediately coming off as curt and aggressive.

I've worked over a lot of ghetto gangsters and rich white people in my life. Just use different honey depending on who I have to navigate.

Fine art of conversation...it's the key.
Hey, I'm not a minority and didn't grow up in the ghetto - we like to keep our ish nice. So people have forever kept an eye out for one another in that way where I live. It's called "community watch" and if you're in favor of doing away with policing, it's not a bad thing to do.

This bull **** that EVERYONE who asks a question is a *Karen* is meant to silence everyone about everything.

Ain't buyin' it.

She absolutely did the right thing that I hope a good citizen of any color and creed would do.
She learnt several lessons.

Don't assume anything based on color and race. You would not want people to assume you are a racist bigot and carries guns to kill black people just because you are white.
Mind your business. it is not your job to supervise the neighborhood.

Don't be a racist. It can cost you your job and you will be called Karen.
Don't become a racebait. Be human, act human.
See? Simple.

This? Is a nothing burger. I have had significantly worse altercations with busybodies, rude people, all manner of verbal unpleasantries. And then I quickly moved on with my life because, I have one.

No, I didn't say they're victims.

But they don't deserve to have their careers destroyed.

I didn't see anything about them getting a gun.

The words you're looking for are "moral Compass"
As in, The free market has no moral compass. Ever.

See, we aren't that far apart.

Don't assume "racism" every time you're perturbed.

If you see something, don't say something (forget prior admonitions to the contrary).

Assume your neighbor is a woke @sshole until proven otherwise.
