You are correct. All the graffiti on buildngs and stuff is just artwork right ? The park is destroyed where they are attempting a garden. And where do you suppose all those people in tents are urinating and defecating ? Sure, there are porta potties but can they really support all those people ? Come on, don't try to say there hasn't been property destruction. There is all kinds of video evidence showing it.
Buildings all across Seattle have been boarded up for months now due to the pandemic and yes, actually, much of the "graffiti" is intentional artwork. That is in addition to the usual graffiti common to urban areas. In addition to the porta potties businesses that are open have been allowing protesters to use the facilities and charge their devices, wearing masks of course.
Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if the Cal Anderson garden patch becomes just another P-Patch. For those unfamiliar with Seattle, P-Patches are designated community gardens on about a hundred municipal properties. Demand outstrips supply.

Not sure who you're referring to here by "lawless" but the organizers of the CHOP group have stated three demands vis-a-vis the city:
1. Defund the Seattle Police Department (which is not to say disband)
2. Increase investment in the black community
3. Release any protesters arrested during the recent George Floyd protests

I'm not weighing in whether it is lawful or unlawful but there is precedent for it here in Seattle and elsewhere, stretching back decades before the era of worldwide internet. Educate yourself.
I personally don't favor the tactic but it is nothing like insecure trolls desperately portray it here. Ironically the attention only makes such tactics more effective, not less.
A friend of mine has been pulling a security gig for certain people. They have said many of the same things. Also that they have seen many knives and machetes. That there are a bunch of homeless and drug addicts in that area too. It's really pretty sad to see the Mayor and Governor of this state are allowing this.
The National Guard was sent in early and Inslee had them leave.
The biggest thing is the Mayor is an idiot and so is "daddy may I" Inslee. They can end it, but they are too weak to do so.

President Trump should send in Tripp’s to retake the area. American citizens own property in the insurgent controlled zone. The government of Seattle and Washington state is delinquent in its duty to protect the rights of US citizens. Federal forces should do it against the will of the leftist government of Washington state.
