But if you haven't figured that out yet....................
I haven't read any media hysteria. Not sure where you're getting your news from. Again, the Dems are responsible for the global responses as well? Who knew?

Once you had Trump publicly taking up the position that the pandemic was a hoax, or at least greatly exaggerated, and then the whole right-wing media chorus got behind that too, you were never going to see Trumpists leave that position, and indeed they haven't. Trump has even said that mask-wearing should be interpreted as criticism of him! *LOL* And of course, the right-wing media got behind that idea too. So yeah, I'd say the GOP has politicized it.

I haven't been able to find those figures. If you find it, please let us know. And I'm not being facetious.

Canada, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, etc all have similar numbers to us. Are they all having election years? I think it has more to do with people valuing freedom and weighing the negative costs of the lockdowns.

With that said I think masks are important and people like Trump and Joe Rogan should have been supporting mask wearing.

Exactly! The Socialist Democratic Party have tried every and any way to get Trump out. Investigations, impeachment and blame for a virus. I want to know what they would have done better when the virus struck.

Do you watch TV? I admittedly don't watch much, but ffs, there was a time when that's all the media could talk about, before all they could talk about was the dead black man riots.

Agreed.

One thing they might have been better at is not letting a perfectly good crisis go to waste! All that shiny political capital to be had!
