So we would not have been in such bad shape with Obama.
Do you believe in the tooth fairy too?

Obama depleted our supplies with SARS and never replenished them.

I don't see either of those things stopping it completely, but rather mitigating it to some extent, based on currently available data. Hopefully the efforts of scientists and/or new information will allow us to prevail, but if not people are going to have to get used to a modified reality and adapt accordingly. The more staunch and blind ideologues on either side of the aisle will need to get with the program regardless.

Trump is right. We cannot run from this. We have to go through it.
A vaccine gives one immunity that lasts a month or so and disables a person's own immunity from protecting themselves from this virus for life.

I'm not an antivaxer here, this is just the way it works.

Those idiots may have done us a favor. Eventually, we have to let this run its course.

We should focus in on taking care of the oldest and most vulnerable, then the rest of us can get on with it, getting back to business if we hadn't already. No more unemployment benefits, or at least reduce it enough to motivate folks to getting back to work or delivering pizzas or whatever they do.

That is not the way it works. Getting Coronavirus through catching it and receiving a vaccine with dead viruses is essentially the same thing, but we can avoid millions of unnecessary deaths by giving out the vaccine. You trigger antibodies either way.

Hey, guess what? The virus is actually under control in many countries thanks to good leadership. So yeah, our situation would probably have been a lot better with an actual leader, like Obama.

What happened to it disappearing.?
What happened to us 'prevailing'?
Why are other countries able to reduce the number of cases substantially? What are we doing differently? What can't we figure it out?

Learning to live with a virus doesn't mean ignoring it. It means working to reduce the spread -- masks, minimizing crowds when it isn't necessary --- hand washing...etc.

Well, that IS what we’re doing and what we have been doing—learning to live with it. So wear a mask and go on with your life or hide in your basement for a year.

Year 1 of Trump, reasonable. Year 4 of Trump, nope. It was found masks were 10 years old in the national strategic stockpile. Trump butt fumbled this to no end. He is followed that play up with throwing an interception for a pick six. Covid-19 has taken too many states to the house that were not effected on the initial first wave. We got complacent.
