There have been US Presidents I didn’t like and some have done things I didn’t agree with but at no time did I ever consider hiring the American flag to protest a sitting US President nor his actions I disagreed with. I know whomever is currently president, that person will be replaced. That person holds the office between four to eight years. We have a chance at a peaceful revolution every four years. So why do liberals burn the American flag in protest of a sitting president and or his actions? Are they really showing hatred towards the president or a hatred towards the nation in general? We see our nation’s foreign enemies hiring the American flag as a show of hatred towards the nation in general. Also we seem to see this more often among university students and faculty. I’m curious if any of them would be willing to stop receiving government assistance towards their education and possible future welfare benefits?

Maybe all those people who hate this country should leave.

Why should they stay here and continue to be miserable when there's tons of other countries for them to move to?

Life's too short to be unhappy and miserable.

Because their thought process is to make everyone else around them as miserable as they are. It really is that simple - they are not planning on leaving at all and that thought doesn't enter their mind. Just to make everyone in society as miserable as they are, even through unlawful\criminal means if necessary.

It is really ironic that the Rights we enjoy under our flag also give us the Right to burn it in protest.

I think anyone that burns it is misguided, ill informed, stupid and they have no empathy for the people that have bled and died through the centuries, fighting for our country. It is a real slap in their face and shows nothing but disrespect to their memory.

Our enemies walk on our flag, they spit on it, they burn it so we should ask ourselves when some fool burns our flag that means so much to so many are they acting out as an enemy of the country. I think they are and if caught in the act they should expect trouble.

I would like to see these fools go to a foreign country and try their stupid anti antics. If they pulled that flag burning in China they would be tossed in prison. If they were in Iran, North Korea they would no doubt be tucked away and shot.

I think it is really sad when someone burns the flag in protest but then again I have a respect for our History and Country.

Here you go:

Quote:
America isn't easy. America is advanced citizenship. You've gotta want it bad, 'cause it's gonna put up a fight. It's gonna say, "You want free speech? Let's see you acknowledge a man whose words make your blood boil, who's standing center stage and advocating at the top of his lungs that which you would spend a lifetime opposing at the top of yours." You want to claim this land as the land of the free? Then the symbol of your country cannot just be a flag. The symbol also has to be one of its citizens exercising his right to burn that flag in protest. Now show me that, defend that, celebrate that in your classrooms. Then, you can stand up and sing about the land of the free.
This little speech from The American President does come in handy from time to time.

Three women Christian patriot republican workers one night asked me what I thought of people burning the flag.

I told them that George W. Bush was shredding the Constitution.

Then, I asked them which was more important, the flag or the Constitution.
