It is fairly transparent what they are about, honestly. Unfortunately, a few bad actors can tarnish the group, if all someone looks at is the bad actors. City Data PoC is extremely right wing, so it tends to selectively show only the bad videos from BLM. Conversely, on extremely left wing forums I visit, you see threads that have hundreds of videos of cops inciting violence, beating people, etc. with no consequence.
If you ONLY look at the bad actors (on the left or right), it's easy to fall deeper into an extreme right wing or extreme left wing view. One of the biggest mistakes anyone can make in times like this is assuming the 5% of people who are bad actors represent an entire group.
They're a front. A group of thugs used every four years by the Democratic party, funded by George Soros, with all donations going back to the Democrats. I'm a Democrat and even I know that.
Talking about how some people tarnish BLM is like saying Joseph Goebbels put a real black eye on the Nazi party.
So you’re saying it make sense for BLM (an organization whose mantra is that black lives matter) to focus on fighting for gay rights instead of the black murders of other blacks (including children) that account for 97% of black murders?
BLM is a political platform, anymore. They have a website that pretty clearly spells out the goals. LGBTQ rights are written in those goals. In all the people I've talked to at BLM events, I've not seen a single person who doesn't think black on black crime is an issue. I really don't understand why the right wing brings that up, almost as if some people are trying to say the notion that black on black crime happens justifies police brutality against minorities.

Sorry, but I didn't put my tinfoil hat on this morning, and with respect, we've talked more than once. I am moderate myself and I don't see much of what you say aligning with liberal ideology.

That's the way you see it. Cool, you're the only person who has to live in your mind.

I think you mean you didn't stop drinking your Kool Aid this morning.
No need to apologize, I could tell from your initial post about the poor BLM what your stance was.

You mean when I said the BLM members in this video should be arrested? Please actually read what is written before responding. I do think any time a church gives away assault rifles, it will get some backlash. The response was over the top by the people in that video (and a few of them should be arrested), but a church giving away guns is fairly crazy to begin with.

BLM is a platform, with clearly spelled out goals. It's not overly difficult to go to their website and read.
