Apparently it is against public policy for livestock to be killed or injured, regardless of their danger to other livestock, on the great and glorious plantation.

The USA went socialist in 1933.
Just nobody paid attention when government began TAKING from one to GIVE to another.

Taxes for government support is one thing.
Taxes for recipient support is another thing... SOCIALISM.
Ditto, for FICA / socialist inSecurity.

Socialism costs at least $3.1 trillion dollar bills out of the 2020 FY U.S. budget of $4.79 trillion dollar bills.
65% of the budget is socialism.

Food Stamp Recipients : 35,978,810
Medicaid recipients : 79,109,022
Medicare enrollees : 60,139,377
Retirees : 54,899,446

There's a huge number of voters who will not take kindly to anyone daring to break their rice bowl.
I think though the other poster might have meant has the country gone socialist in the authoritarian sense more than the welfare sense.

Notice the phrase "all across the nation" in my post. And if you don't see it going on across the nation, you have mole eyes. Someone was shot by a rioter just ten minutes from me the other day. Believe it or not, generally speaking, the rioters are rioting... and doing all kinds of other things they should not be doing. And they are quite often facing NO consequences for doing so... because law enforcement is too busy punishing the victims rather than the criminals or having their hands tied by doltish politicians.

No. A great argument for changing the people who give the police orders.

Please. We're heading for something far, far worse than socialism. Think 1984. A boot stamping on a human face forever.

It's not a mystery. The morality of the Left is a morality of aggression in which aggression is privileged, and self-defense is illegitimate.

Yes, I'm paying into Social Security and Medicaid. I'll be entitled to receive both when I'm 65.

Which really has nothing to do with confiscating these people's guns, does it?

YOU are the one who's been brainwashed by your radical leftist comrades. You know....the ones destroying and burning down the country.

You're still stuck on the failed Russia hoax. Time to wake up and realize that ship sailed a long time ago. Your party failed on that one, just like they fail on everything else.

The STL DA, Kimberly Gardner was elected to be a "progressive reformer". And what happened here was exactly that, a progressive fueled action.

Seizing legally owned private property from people that were lawfully protecting their private property from a large gang of invaders (who also damaged their private property) is central to "progressive reform".

Scratch a progressive, reveal a tyrant.

This action also goes to prove once again why firearm registries should be fought against every step of the way.

That DA knew this couple had an AR and a pistol, which were on the search warrant.

Because of the castle doctrine in place in St Louis, it is very difficult to see what legit charges this idiot DA will be able to levy, or how seizing this private property can be legally justified.

These are two lawyers with money. I truly hope they fight this as far as possible.
