Some of us with kids actually worry much more about the fact that our kids are not in school and are not able to socialize normally and that we are destroying their future employment opportunities along with the economy due to short sighted morons who think that indefinitely trying to hide from a respiratory virus is a smart and totally justified thing to do.
Exactly right. The problem we have is that the Democrat Party and the media successfully weaponized the pandemic and now there are millions of brainwashed people living in fear of COVID19. That is their existence and nothing other than the virus matters to them.

I have seen a lot of evidence of that, sadly. A lot of people are stuck in tunnel vision.
How many more deaths before people, especially the ones most likely to die from it, take it seriously? As for Trump, it doesn't matter months later. Still lots of people by the many millions very much love and look up to President Trump and will continue to do so in the hospital dying from covid.

What's more dangerous, a flu with a death rate that around 1/10 of 1% for the vast majority, or tyrannical gestapo law enforcement? I think we all know the answer.
It's not mainly about the death rate. It's about not knowing how severe your case of covid-19 will be when you get it. It's certainly isn't a mild and brief illness for everybody. It's so severe for some people that it scars up their lungs and they need a hard to get lung transplant. Other people stay exhausted from it for months.
Ah, Oklahoma state legislators must think they're so strong and special. They rejected a proposal requiring them to wear a mask in the legislative chambers at the State Capitol. There is still a Capitol mask rule, but it doesn’t apply to lawmakers the same way it does to state employees or visitors.
And youu cannot try to talk to them either,they are so braindead and controled by the media they are just so sad....
So people prove just how brainwashed and brain dead they can get when they say as a very sick patient in the hospital, "I wouldn't wish this virus upon my worst enemy." The patients not brainwashed insist they are really sick from the flu or pneumonia?

Once again, masks are like life jackets. They won't work unless you got one on. Too many people are not wearing masks around friends and relatives in private situations. That includes me. Nobody had a mask on when I went to visit my brother and his girlfriend during Christmas. She gave me a nice hug. I'm still well.
And for an updated count on a masked vs unmasked city:
Stillwater, OK, masks required since July, pop. 50,299, COVID-19 total cases: 4856, deaths: 15
Yukon, OK, masks not required until Dec. 20, pop. 28,084, COVID-19 total cases: 6579 deaths: 20
If these figures mean nothing, then prove it by showing figures of two cities that are in the opposite way.

This is so sad for our country. We have become a country of uneducated morons. We are going to decline into oblivion but we will by golly remain “free” as we slide further into the abyss. I am already old but I feel for the young and for people who have kids. We had a decent run 250 years or so.
I would rather be dead than wear a mask.
