They got out of unmarked vehicles, which is legal. Every blue city of significance has unmarked police cars. The federal agents are LEGALLY using unmarked cars, because liberal-brownshirts violently attack police cars.

About three blocks by two blocks -- about six blocks total in Portland. Friends there tell me it is not a big deal but a confined nuisance and would be less so if the Feds left.
One would think that all of the cities are in flames. Not at all true. Trump wants you to think that. He is sending (or threatening to send) Feds into my city for no real purpose other than it is a Democratic city, mostly, and he is not welcome when he makes a point to come here. He got his feelings hurt in 2016. There is nothing for the Feds to do here. Covid has everything restricted. They will just be spending money on take-out and donuts to eat in their car. Trump is fishing for photo ops for Fox news and trying to incite demonstrations. It will be on him if it happens and he won't lose any votes here because he will lose the state anyway.
6 blocks is a pretty big area. 6 blocks can fit a lot of businesses, and apartments. I don't think anyone thinks it's the entire city. And the Feds have every right to be there, and protect their building. Stop with the attacks on it and things can return to normal.
Trump is sending Feds to the Democratic run city near me and the Chief of Police said he will welcome them and they will help enhance what they are already doing. This city has also had no rioting or looting, just plenty of peaceful protests. It came close a couple of times but the great leadership stopped it before it could happen.
