Valid point, but I think there is systemic racism with very little racism of white people toward black people.

Systemic racism off the top of my head:

  • studies show harsher sentencing for first time offenders who are black than for first time offenders guilty of the same crime who are white
  • an education system that does not remove disruptive students who prevent the majority of students from being in an environment where they can learn
  • an education system that lowers the admissions standards, thus setting some students up to fail because they're unable to keep up with the classes
  • predatory lenders for people who have trouble making ends meet (impacts poor whites, as well)
  • under-representation in medical studies
  • few resources giving advice about how to wisely manage money (impacts poor whites, as well)
  • unsafe urban housing that damages the psyche of kids growing up in a violent environment
  • generational poverty (impacts poor whites, as well)

I know it's a cartoon tried to find something which was easy to understand.
The only thing impacting people today are the choices they make for themselves.

When Mr. Smith, a black guy, decides to engage in drugs or crime, refuses to become skilled and educated, that choice is his and his alone, not racism, and that choice will end up resulting in him being poor and lack opportunities other have.

i would add locking poor black kids on failing schools with no hope or option for parents who care to get their kids out.

Pretty much what you'd expect:

I would agree with your first 3 but mostly disagree with the others - assuming that sentencing is STILL out of whack.

Of course, the other 2 of 3 are seen as being racist for blacks, yes?

everything else except perhaps medical studies is colorblind.

And a black cop that put in place the Minneapolis policy that Chauvin used of kneeling on a guys neck if they had been resisting arrest, which George Floyd had.

If black kids are failing due to systemic racsim. How come black immigrants and Asian immigrants who have more financial burdens are able to get ahead? And at times even pull ahead of white Americans financially? This is one question thet black academics and white liberals have yet to answer.

Systemic racsim does not exist today, however it did exist in the pass. I do feel that reparations should be owed to African Americans for Jim crow which ended 50 years ago and millions of black Americans are still alive today thet went through it along with thier parents. And grandparents. But reparations for slavery? Nah man. Nah. No one from 1865 or prior is alive.
