You asked the reader to IMAGINE they had an elderly mother in her early 90s...

That's what I did, and that's why I said "fictional".

If you were talking about your own mother, you should have said, "I have a mother in her early 90s, should I chance it and take her out..."

What is wrong with you?
Obviously I was talking about my own mother. People say “if” all the time when they want to know what people would do IF they were in the same position. Picking on how I phrased it is ridiculous.

You didn't ask "IF" they were in the same position, because you didn't set it up that you have a 90 something year old mother. How the F are we supposed to know that a) your mother is in her 90s, b) your mother is still alive c) you get along with your mother d) you see your mother often....

You didn't tell us any of that. You can't just assume that we know everything about your life, because we don't.

THEREFORE, without the set up, when you ask a reader "what would you do", you're asking them to imagine that they have said 90 year old mother.

The writing was poorly done, and now you want to throw a fit because someone didn't read your mind?

I really don't think she's throwing a fit. What's your point? What's the difference, or are you just worried about syntax?

I read it and understood the basic question and message. Not too difficult.

Would you like a lollipop? She lost her ish, said "damn some posters are nasty" because I didn't read her mind and know that she has a 90 year old mother.

Or you could concede that it was written poorly, and you ASSumed that people knew jack all about your personal life.

If a particular area or establishment begins to see these groups disturbing customers simply trying to have a meal, I believe hiring a security guard (off duty police officer working a side gig) would be worth the deterrent effect. If things start getting really bad, I have a feeling the good citizens who are just trying to get by during this incredibly challenging time will begin to fight back. Then the owner of the establishment has a melee on their hands. Not good. I probably wouldn't throw a punch (LOL) but if you touch me, all bets are off. How much longer are we going to allow ourselves to be bullied into submission to a left wing philosophy that really does not represent 'who we are.'

We have BLM racists assaulting people, destroying cities, burning down buildings, throwing rocks - and you’re condemning ME because you don’t like how I phrased something? Nobody else had a problem understanding the situation.

OK, yes I'll take a lollipop. It's been a while since I had one, but appreciate the offer. Again, I understood what she was trying to purvey. Maybe try some critical thinking.

I want to see some restaurants built as castles with moats and drawbridges.
